Mechanical Stalk Turn signal retrofit

Hi all- has anyone with a PreLCI successfully retrofited the mechanical turn signal column and stalks from the LCI models? (one of my only nit-picks of BMW between 2006-2017). I have searched threads where people with LCI back dated to the self centering ones found in the PreLCI instead. but never the other way around.

What am I missing here? The only M2 I've driven is my own and it's a pre LCI...it is quite possibly the last pre-LCI built due to my dealer ordering the wrong color but that's another story. What exactly is the difference between the pre LCI and the LCI turn signal stalks?

I see in your bio that you have an e36. that would best describe the behavior of the LCI stalks. it is more traditional

the prelci stalks automatically return to center no matter your steering wheel position which has been a feature BMW has done since 2006.

I came from an e36 M3 so I am used to the LCI setup which is more traditional.

Until this day I never got used to the preLCI stalks and I am sure most BMW drivers as well which is why we get the stereotype of not using our turn signals

Ah, I understand now, thanks! I've never heard of anyone retrofitting that but I'm thinking it has to be possible...
