So Yes to a carbon fiber roof, Yes it should have gotten the S designated engine and Yes to ceramic brakes. However, weight reduction is new to M models as previous generation Ms were heavier than the non M versions.

Take away the bespoke s engine and yes add all that other race bred shit to the M2. Carbon roof-yes CC brakes-yes optional Weight reduction-yes! Why it's hard to loose 75-100lbs off the m235? No. Keep your DCT for the M3/4 and offer it only in MT and stick the s55 in it defined it'll be slower then the M3/4 and problem solved. Don't do this (even thought I'll wait to see all the official details) I'm off to 981 cayman s as well like someone stated in the earlier reply.

Should be M-DCT but wouldn't be surprised if they used the 8 spd ZF. |

I like the stance of this car. Hopefully it has a thicker sidewall than 35/30 on the tires if 19's are standard... and the ride height looks perfect with little roll. Very well planted. This thing is hot.

I just took re-delivery of my M235i last week and thinking that I'll probably trade it in about 3 years for an M2
Idk though, we'll see. I'm in love with my car right now |

The widened rear view looks very similar to 1M in its current mule form.. and you're right, reduced body roll (compared 235i) is most encouraging
