I didn't have to put any money down because it's super duper early. When the dealerships get more details, I'll get a call and be able to get my name on a official holding list.

I was thinking that way, but now have decided to start having fun modding the hell out of a 135 instead of going M235. I don't feel like the M235 is enough of an upgrade from the 135 to justify picking one up for just 2-3 years before getting an M2 (my ultimate goal).

I have looked everywhere, and still cannot find any reference to when the M2 concept may be revealed. I believe I once saw March 2015, but I can't find that source.

Doesn't really matter much though - it's just a concept, which may resemble production exactly or not at all.

- Production concepts, that more or less final. Headlights, taillights and side mirrors might be different, but that's it. - Abstract concepts: like the BMW CS for example Regardless, I'm not even thinking that far. I wouldn't even mind more spy shots. Something. Anything.

That's why when the M4 came out, and people kept saying "lol it'll never look anything like that, it's just a concept, it'll be much more toned down blah blah blah" I just sat back and laughed. |

The most recent concept-to-production fail I can think of is the Subaru (yes I know- different Mfr) WRX. The concept generated so much buzz and enthusiasm and was the best looking thing ever to come off a subaru drawing board (literally, it really was)! Then they pussed out and went so pedestrian that the car I was considering (in STI trim) as a replacement for my 135 dropped out of the running like a prizefighter who had just taken a knockout blow. I just don't put much stock in concepts. |

Even when they go more extreme on the concept cars, you still have an idea what the end result will be. I think most people here knew the bumper wasn't going to make it, but the car didn't change much. And then you have concepts like this, which just shows you the direction BMW is taking, rather than an actual car that will make it to production (I adore the BMW CS): Totally agree about the Subaru btw. I was blown away by the concept car, and was telling my friend it's actually the first Japanese car I'd really consider. Then the real deal came out and I didn't even realize it was supposed to be the same model

It says M5. It's just a low quality picture. If you want, open this pic up in paint and really zoom in on it.
You'll see that there is a line of dark pixels on the left side, confirming it says "5" rather than "6". Last edited by Adem1534; 09-25-2014 at 06:27 PM.. Reason: Mistyped a number |
