Mine is already scheduled for ED and I have all travel arrangements done. Plus I have no idea what color I would pick if I went this route.

This just shows that obviously more colors are possible - whether the individual program is available at a particular factory or not.

A few "special" cars will be made it appears - but no more than that.

I simply do not have a clue why these US dealers are saying this. There is one or two highly believing it can be done, but anyone else in the world is confirming that it cannot be done. I asked around everywhere and I get a distinctive "NO".
Why is there one dealer in the U.S. that thinks he can get it? Is he part of some sort of Asterix and Obelix conspiracy? "The year is 2018, and a BMW dealer in the west of the U.S.A. is still holding out against the German manufacturer. Thanks to the sales manager's magic potion, a little group of dauntless M2C clients - among other things - asks FvM and his proud legions of Leipzig workforce for M Individual colours to the utmost degree! Their only fear is that the sky may fall on BMW M's head as soon as they are being offered the option and the rest of the world not." MR |

There is a simple solution if you want Individual paint: Get a F80/82. BMW is not offering any individual options for the M2C - for gods sake, they only offer four colors in general! You can't even get another leather color besides black. M2 is the baby M and unfortunately is not allowed to outshine the F82 in any kind of option/possibility.
The only "options" it can or is allowed to step out of the F82's shadow is it's driving dynamics and the pure fun and simplicity it offers.

If you want to stay in that price ballpark go ahead and grab a RS3 sedan - but thats a different car as I can tell. If you want to small sports car with individual options, get a Cayman - but don't forget that Porsche will charge you around 9k€ for the PTS program.

I know it's boring, but my wife and I have always loved white cars. Our last like 10 vehicles have all been white...even our golf cart. Haha. The M2C will be our first BMW and obviously we both agreed on AW immediately...which doesn't have an upcharge. Winning!
I'm not going to lie though...after spending the last couple of months here on Bimmerpost, I've learned so much about BMWs and have been exposed to so many more colors out there. I never thought I would like a blue colored car, but I just think that SMB color is amazing! However, we're too cheap/poor to ever pay a potential $5k upcharge for BMW Individual, so we'll just humbly/boringly stick with our AW. Hehe |
