Already scratched my MP Lip, what to do?
So after only a couple of weeks on the car, I already have two scuffs on the front edge of the MP Lip. I don’t want to blame my wife, but ..... it wasn’t on my watch.
How easily can scuffs be fixed? Is it just sanding and clear coating? Any recommendations? I added protection underneath, but not on the leading edge. This is my DD. Are there any protection options? I wish it had a simple sacrificial plastic lip. I also have a set of MP coil overs yet to be installed. I’m now debating lowering the car at all. |

Just tell her what you noticed and that it could've been her. If she doesn't know, she's just gonna scrape it again after you fix it.

I'm surprised there haven't been reports of broken splitters yet, on my M235i, we've been constantly breaking them https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1569735

I'm happy I bought a knockoff lip cause mine is almost ground to dust (car is lowered).
If I ever bought a real lip I'd definitely use one of those kits linked above - the only issue is that the clearance becomes even less. But IIRC the materials used are slippery, so even if you do scrape, they mostly "glide" over the surface. |
