Great question. The build site specifically states two options. Black vs Bi-Color. To be honest, this is bogus on BMW's part, as even the Black option is bi-color, having glossy black base with grey outer finish (e.g., spokes). Kind of interesting timing that you ask this question . . . what I will state is - if you give me a day, or so - I will be posting something you might find interesting in the '2021 M2C. Share Your Journey' thread.' ///AVM Last edited by ///AVM; 08-10-2020 at 01:05 PM.. |

The black has a decently darker metal surface than the bi-color, so they look better on lighter colored cars due to the contrast.
I think in Europe, they might offer gloss black 788's. There are a couple pictures floating around, but might be custom. |

Are these the black or bi-color wheels? It's so hard to tell in pictures based on lighting :/.

Thank you brother Kutta!
For those that do not tune into the other thread . . . 788 black wheels redone. All black satin powder coat. . . bi-color and glossy are GONE. If more information desired, I expanded upon in other thread and provide a few more pics (post #1282). ///AVM Last edited by ///AVM; 08-13-2020 at 11:46 AM.. |

Love how the car sits on its suspension. Looks so purposeful. What suspension are you running? Any rubbing issues on track?

I'm at max ride height and get some rubbing in extreme cases (high G corners, drivers side mainly) but this is due to the tires. But not enough to damage the tires and after some wear it's even less. I think I could eliminate it further with spacers but I'd prefer not to use them if possible. For tires I am running Federal 595-rs pro 265/35 19 Front. I measured them actually at 275 width and running rears tires 275/35 (measured at 285). No issues in the rear at all. Next set of fronts I will go down to 255/35 federals |
