Match up 8 and focal ES100k a good combination?

I've read the ES100k are worth it despite not drop in replacement you can buy 3D printed adapter rings on eBay. Like the yellow cones too

The latest match up amp is number 8 it seems.

Questions:
Are these components vaguely compatible?

Anyone know the woofer size of the front doors are they 4" or 5"?

Do the focal speakers need splicing in or come with BMW connectors?

I see mention of something about a harness to make the match up amps work in our cars, does it not come with one? Chap in recent thread with Match 8 said he needed to modify it to work?

I would dynamat extreme the doors.

Centre channel I am undecided about. Some unplug it but not many upgrade it?

Rears are diminishing returns, I'd leave that for now. Maybe drop in the focal BMW 8" under seat woofers if any good?

I think I could take on this project myself but might get a quote from a local company as I know the DSP tuning is so important in cars.

I have the Harman Crap-on system.
I have ASD harness bypass.

Don't want bright treble, dynamic midrange, textured or extended bass over sheer volume of bass. Like rock and EDM.

Chur!

Not sure if you went any further with this.

ES100k have standard speaker terminals
BMW style connectors with wire can be got off eBay or aliexpress
Crossovers need to be mounted in doors
Streetwise 3D in the UK make a really good adapter
ES100k has forward sounding tweeters and have lots of detail
Midbass is very nice and can go quite loud for a 100mm speaker
Need about 20 hours of use before they sound their best and need a sight DSP retune at that stage.

If you can listen to underseat options check both Focals and Morels , the later is tighter on Bass , needs a bit of an eq bump up at 130 hz.

Thank you for that.
For now I am leaving the audio. The M2 is such a noisy environment I'm not sure it's an effective use of my money vs messing with my hifi gear in my house though I'm sure it would be nice to have.
I think it's the one thing that doesn't make me truly in love with the car.
My car before had the VW dynaudio system which was amazing for the price point IMO. I loved that car!

Sure , I know what you mean. I’ve done aftermarket audio systems in all my BMWs.
The noise floor is higher in M models and hifi and Hk needs augmenting. Best bang for buck is a simple 10 inch sub which fills out the bottom end. More cost effective than doing understeat woofers. After that costs add up quite quickly.

Dynaudio would have sounded great.
