AA EL (non res) Midpipe + Remus Race

Made a quick video of my new set up. I hope you all get some value out of it if you are planning on doing something similar.

I really want to know how the resonated AA mid-pipes compare to the non resonated ones on the same exhaust/set-up (with stock DPs). I don't want to blow away the entire house every time I startup, you know?

Do you think it is still quieter than stock even with the resonators?

I think it will be louder than stock but only marginally... If you are running OE downpipes and stock rear section, then you should run non resonated. if you run after market DPs then run resonated.

The muffler section will always create more sound but it will depend a lot on the system you go with.

Improves it but that flatulent noise around 4k is still pretty bad. I don't think I'll ever be able to fix the S55 sound other than buying another car.

For the video at the end, the outside sound recording was completely distorted due to your mic being over driven.

Nice vid!
Wish you had revved it up a little more from the outside view or done some drive-bys

I think the answer is in the resonated midpipe and remus sport.
This car needs resonators.

And this setup (non resonated with remus race )with valvse open doesn't have enough muffle.

Stock downpipe + resonated EL is too quiet in my opinion. I dont think you will be happy with the results.

I recommend resonated with high flow catted downpipes

AA has butchered the entire rollout of this product. Changes the entire F8x exhaust market and they don't even have proper videos to sell it to their own customer. They have to rely on customer clips to make money for them. Idk that doesn't sit well with me and it for sure has pissed off many customers.

Btw thanks OP for your video. It actually popped up on my Youtube feed the other day and realized why everyone says to go for remus for the muffler. Sounds great imo.

AA, like every single company for all hobbies, is having huge supplier issues. Same goes for huge mountain bike companies that can't stock enough bikes. It's not really in AA's control. Have you seen Dinan's backup times?

That being said, mine shipped out today from a black friday order. They seem to be trying their best.

When I was first exploring options, I met up with a guy with the AA single mid and Remus Race. It was much too loud for me in efficient mode, but the people happy it with probably had that louder effect in mind or they would have gone with the more subdued Sport version. Maybe the EL mid makes it a bit quieter, but I won't gamble on that setup without hearing it in person.

If the single was too loud for your taste, its almost guaranteed that resonated equal length is the way to go
