Do we know if the larger brakes still have the quick pad swap cutouts?

This thing is mint.

Hockeheim Silver looks like a lighter Lime Rock Grey.

I'm surprised about the comments on how great the car looks (now). I think it looks remarkably similar to the outgoing model. :

Agree the competition will likely be the more sought out model long term, but am optimistic the current value of the M2 won't tank. Still a supply/demand equation, and might be sometime before M2 comp can be had at a reasonable price. Guess I'll need to hang onto mine for a while - a car only depreciates when you go to sell it!

Not sure I like the blue center portion of those seats...

To be honest, the seats look like a cheap Chinese copy of the M3/M4 seats . If they are standard seats that will put me off buying one

Those are the optional M sports seats and they are also offered with orange contrast stitching. You can however get the same seats the M2 has always had, but they are now offered in either polar blue or orange stitching as well.

RE: Pricing

Frank van Meel: ...I can ensure you that we looked thoroughly into positioning the vehicle between the outgoing M2 LCI and the base M4. This is the main reason why we didn’t add a carbon fiber roof, adaptive suspension or ceramic brakes to the M2 Competition. We really wanted to make sure that the M2 differentiates itself from its bigger brother both on specification level and price tag. The base price will not increase drastically!

Thank you @MR., BMW M, & Frank van Meel for the clarification!

BMW engineers; Add random bits and bobs from the M3/4 including an engine that sounds like dog doo! Oh and mirror caps, those bloody fanboys won’t shut up about em!

It’s like a friggin Frankenstein project.

The perforated M Sport seat-backs with the orange stitching looks way better than the classic M2 polar blue, IMO... Totally unexpected...

Actually this is the "real M2 Competition". The real M2 isn't available anymore. Sorry.

100% agree..I went from my E92 M3 to an F80 without really a single thought about the M2...even having the S55 under the hood doesn't make me change my mind. My life is made way easier with four doors. While I don't love the F80 interior (especially compared to my wife's 2018 S4) but I think it looks nicer than the M2.

EXACTLY. I always thought the rear-end of the M2 looked weird and the M2C doesn't change that. F80 is definitely the sexier looking car IMHO.

I do wish I could swap the M2C's digital instrument cluster into my F80 though.

When N55 M2 inherits all bunch of bits and pieces from M3/M4, it's the perfect recipe that BMW ever done in recent years but when they add the S55, mirrors, seats etc, it's a "frigging Frankenstein project". Tell me more!

I don't like the seats either but if i'm forced to have them standard then i'll buy it and sell the seats before considering not buying the car.

Well, they connected the kidneys, all they need to do now is to stretch the middle section...
Why they do that? Lack of imagination?

I don't know if it's been posted already but BMW put up this audio clip that is what the M2C sounds like.

Probably heavily edited but here is the clip I found on BMW UK youtube channel.

You can see oil temp in the current M2 model, It's just not a dedicated gauge. The new car looks to be the same way where it's going to be a display you can toggle in the center screen at the bottom of the cluster.
