M Performance exhaust flaps

Hi,

Has anyone ever experienced an issue with the m performance exhaust flaps where the flaps are stuck. See attached pictures for examples.

I recently installed my MPE on my 18 M2 as well as installing my Cg-Precision-VSC-2 with modified wiring. The modified wiring is required for N55 engines.

I do not believe the issue has to do with the CG-VSC, however when turning the car on with the device on, as the instructions state from CG, the flaps will not open nor close. The exhaust flaps appear to be stuck in their current positions as shown below. The connections from the CG wiring are as tight as they can be to the OEM Wiring and actuators themselves.

Note: The CG settings are as follows: default-CLOSED ACTIVE-OPEN

Does anybody know how to fix this issue? Also, is the M performance exhaust supposed to come with actuator clips for the drivers and passengers side?

The original exhaust comes with one actuator clip as shown below.

Any advice helps.

Thanks

Also try this. Maybe it helps.

Ensure that:
  • the Bluetooth remote device to operate the MPE is working (battery OK and no Bluetooth interference issue);
  • the I/O master switch on the MPE module is in position "I"; click to "O" and "I" again;
  • the grey plug cable is properly plugged in; pull out and plug in again.
Picture below: master switch in position "I" and grey plug unplugged:

Unfortunately that will not work as I do not have the MPE wiring or MPE BT module. I am only running the CG-VSC 2 in place of those MPE components.

1. Mpe doesn't have the clips!
2. Make sure the valves arent shorted out from your custom wiring by using the stock wiring into the left side valve.
Hope this helps

So to confirm the MPE is also supposed to come with Actuator clips as well? One for the drivers and passengers side? That is what I was thinking the problem may be.

No, no clips at all
