Gave the car a long overdue bath. Weather has not cooperated with my weekend availability. Did it in a light rain but came out on the sunny side.

Strangely, the shift indicator has never come on for me. Since the attached image from the owner's manual says "On vehicles without a gear shift indicator" I figured the M2 didn't do this. Anyone know how to turn it on/off? [IMG][/IMG]

Yeh it's in the display settings. I can show you where if you still can't find it.

I need to play around with the menu to eliminate this! Haven't tweaked it yet!

Would you be so kind? I looked in the instrument cluster settings and don't see anything related to shift indicator. I can see where to turn the mpg efficient dynamics display off ("additional indicators") but I have that on and still never get a shift indicator when I'm in sequential mode.

Thanks to Adam at Carbotech, I ran their pads for the last 5 years on my C5Z....everything from XP 8 to XP 24.....never had street noise and performed great on track....will definitely try on my M2 when it arrives.

Asking here cause this is pretty active and a couple people running suspensions. Anyone who installed springs or coils knows the torque specs for the suspension components?

Its $120 for a set of them and they come with the Roundel, X logo, BMW in text, and the ///M logo.

https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462

Takes a flathead screwdriver and about 5 minutes to do the install, most of which is swapping the ///M slide into the projector.

I'm running XP10 in front and XP8 in rear. Too much front bias for me so I'm going to go 8 and 8. My 10s are more than half spent and my 8s are still basically fresh. So I'm going to pick up some 8s for the front and try the matched set at my next event which unfortunately isn't until next year.

You should talk with Carbotech first...I ran XP 20s on front and loved the initial torque, but didn't last long, went to 24s which lasted longer but less bite, and hard on rotors, everything has a trade off.

I did talk to Carbotech. They're the ones that set me up with what I have.

You can get them cheaper from Wind Fire Auto. I got them for $36.99. Work well. Lifetime warranty.
