Anybody have lag like mine?

Car is 18 lci m2 dct. I have had the car about a month.
Whenever I go (d1) from P (with engine brake on and released) and step gas, I feel there is maybe a second delay like brake lag then go.
Same thing happens from R to D1, and I step gas, I can feel delay & lag.
It is bothering me more and more knowing its there all the time. Coming from e92 m3 6spd, this feels bit weird. Is it my car only? Its my first dct. Other than that, I really love driving this car. Handling and cornering is far better than the m3.

Garage List
I believe it's normal... mine does the same (dct). I believe it's an intended feature to start "creep mode". If you tap the gas and then let go it will make the car creep forward or if you're in reverse backward

Worse when it is cold. It's a DCT thing, switching from R to D is a tad slow.

The delay is intentional so as not to slam any gears.

Same here. Not concerned with these DCT transmissions.

Normal for DCT. Luckily when really driving the car you don't have to go from P to 1st or Reverse ever.

Entirely normal. You will get used to it over time. The way the clutch engages and the computer has to calculate the slip is part of what you're experiencing. It will behave slightly different based on the temp etc.
