Drifting With DCT

What is the best way to drift in an OG M2 with the DCT. Obviously we can't clutch kick as in a manual, but will throwing it in 2nd and stomping the gas be enough to get the rear tires spinning?

Drifting (as I understand it) is the exact opposite of the fast way around a corner.

Fast is smooth.

To drift (we did this at the performance center schools) you want to put it in manual so that it doesn't shift on you, low gear (probably 2nd depending on what speed you're at) and then stab the gas and yank the steering hard.

Look in the direction of travel, not at the front of the car (as you will be sideways). Give it a lot more throttle than you think you should, and be quick (and abrupt) with the steering.

Best to do this on BMW's car using their tires and on their skidpad. I have been known to practice in empty parking lots during or after a hard rain in my 7. Yes, I drift in my 7. I'm not going to beat up my M2.

Watch out for obstructions. Don't be this guy.
