MY2020 M2C Tinted Taillights

I was messing around with the BMW Germany configurator, and it looks like it has the 2020 cars, to include the rumored darkened taillights.
I also like how BMW clearly knows that the muffler on the exhaust looks bad, and make it black in their configurators.

They did it on a lot of the 2019 images as well.

Also, not sure why people like darkened tail lights. Maybe I'm just not hip to fashion anymore, but I prefer my brake lights to be as bright as possible. I'm one of those weird guys that prefer minimal rear bumper contact from other cars.

The original red tail light color diffuser blended in properly and look purposeful, they really didn't need to go darken the taillights and make them now look tacky..

Also, besides cosmetics reasons, a darken tails hinders light output, one would assume..

Don't get what the hype is all about. Wouldn't notice them unless someone pointed it out and even then would just shrug, BFD. Now if they blacked out the muffler as shown on the configurator...

I believe you would notice them, by design.

That's the whole point BMW tinting them - vanity..

You should see the Porsche forums where the 991 guys constantly bash the new 992.

I just see it as "my car is a year old so I need to put down the newer version to feel better. "
