I'm awaiting an answer whether MY20 will include a different colour range.
I'm kind of in the same boat. I want to pull the trigger on an M2C right now, but I know I'll be pissed off if there's a gray or different shade of orange for the MY20 cars. Hoping we'll get some useful information soon(ish)

The thread on 2019 production schedules has long shown the 2-series 2019 model year EOP as 02/2019...meaning 2020 model year production begins in 03/2019. The F87 line isn't completed; I suppose it's possible BMW could produce "2019" model M2Cs through July while starting 2020 model year 2-series in March, but I've never known them to do such in the past.

I would expect different wheel options, may be 437 back, also option to have CF parts installed at factory particular CF roof and hood.

Same question. I have a signed buyer's agreement and I get their next allocation. They said "jan-feb" timeframe. I'm assuming I'll be in this Feb 2020 allocation pool.

Any thoughts?

Silver lining thought for those who were hoping that 2019 would be the only MY for the M2C (which my SA also is still sure it will be and I never really thought it sounded likely):

What happens if this is all the M2C's there are and one of our cars gets mushed by a mean SUV or badly-driven Prius and they aren't making any more of them? No more M2C for the sad owner of the mushed car. I'm a bit more paranoid about this car's safety, not because it's speedy, but because I haven't the slightest idea what I would replace it with if a dragon ate it. If they make more of them and get past the low availability state of affairs, and then your car gets munched, you can actually replace the thing.

The image the OP posted even confirms this (so OP your title is incorrect, just read the image).

And as for new colors, are you guys new to BMW? I'll help you all... it will be a long shot that you will see a color change. (Hint look at the past).

And per this link https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686 the car continues to June of 2021.

That an SA thinks they know more that ynguldyn and official BMW production plans is: (a) sad; (b) funny; (c) distressing; or (d) expected.

OP first post is saying the MY change from 2019 to 2020 starts sometimes in march 2019 (after Feb), not EOP for F87. At least that's my take.

I am hoping this is different than when F80 M3 ceased production in March of 2017, it didn't get re-started until August 2017 but that is due to BMWAG thinking to streamline M3 and M4 fitted with new particulate filter and switch to steel driveshaft (retooling if you will, that takes longer time).

But what do I know, I am in limbo too, got solid allocation for late Jan but I'll be pissed if in 2 months my 2019 M2C is 1-yr old. I'd rather wait a couple more months to get 2020 MY, even with $1000(guess) price increase.

Would not be surprised if BMW added a few options for the next MY....I mean look at their current track record with the M2 in general.

Hilarious that some wish it was a one year production thing..its a mass produced M car...this isn't a 1M scenario

Definitely agree with you on that. Just crossing my fingers that the carbon roof is an option! Waiting on that one thing alone

I'm not sure I follow? I don't think they added much between 2016 and 2017 and 2018 was the LCI and 2019 being a different model. I would suspect that the 2020 will be the exact same.

2016-2017 saw a different iDrive screen and iDrive update. Was just about the same car

It was an upgraded amp I believe. Pretty big difference in quality/volume between '16 & '17 MY. This was reported throughout the 2 lineup.

Wow, the new 340i is going to be almost as expensive as the M2... Wonder if a big price hike is coming? Better not!

I believe the amp was the same. If I recall there was a wiring issue through the line up where the rear speaker(s) were out of phase. There has been some debate on this, but I believe the part numbers for the amp are the same. One thing is for certain, the sound on my M2C is much better than my 2015 M235i despite being “the same”.
