There's a reason they call it the "OG"...
Last driven in early November 2018, I took the car out for the first time in 2019 on Sunday - snow has cleared for the most part and the temp was 6 degrees C.
Forgot just how awesome this car is and I think perhaps Freddy Mercury said it best... . . |

lol, there's always one troll.
I was within the speed limit and using signals. The camera makes the gaps between cars look smaller than they actually were. Also not the point of this thread... But you're one of these guys that only drives your performance car at the track....right. (not a question) |

I don't know where you live, but that isn't out of the ordinary aggressive driving where I live. I'm cut off at least 10 times a day.
Edit: The one that really deserves dissing is the pickup driving slowly in the fast lane. In Europe it is not cool to pass on the right at all. People will flip you off for doing it. In the US it is the only way to get around idiots driving 50 mph in the fast lane. Last edited by AlpsRider; 03-19-2019 at 11:28 AM.. |

I think those who live in major cities will see this as every day type of driving. Once in more rural areas....that's a different story.
I mean I see 18 wheelers on the far left lane over here....that's absolutely idiotic. |

People that camp out in the left lane should be castrated.

Most drivers suck, and so it's best to get out of the pack. Using signals of course and never getting too close. Camera footage can be deceptive making it look like you're cutting people off, doesn't look like he did to me. One thing I've learned over the years is you're less likely to get into an accident driving fast. Not talking about being a straight up ahole, just avoid driving alongside a pack of cars. Best to pull away from it all. There's always one or two drivers in the pack that will unpredictably slam their brakes, abruptly change lanes without signal, etc. Get the F outta there asap.

seems like normal driving if you live in a major city. There lot of people who drive slow or hold up traffic in the fast lane, either because they dont care or there texting. As others said, best to get out of that pack since most drivers are morons.
one of pros of having a sporty car is being able to have a agile car that can out brake and accelerate most other vehicles to avoid danger or dangerous situations. |

'i want to break free' would've been an apt track for that vid too that in the west end?
loving the weather and the cracks, rattles and pops with the windows down!

Not trying to be dense, but why is there a reason they call it OG and what did Freddy Mercury say in that clip?
I know what they say about having to explain a joke, but I feel like I'm missing out. Also, judging by the comments, an alternative subject line could read, "experts weigh in on how to drive in a major city." |

But you are right, people seem more interested in my driving skills/habits which is not the point of my post...but hey, it's the internet...so what can you do. FWIW the guy in the pick up (in the left lane) was going about 80 in a 100 zone. I couldn't pass him on the left because that is an HOV lane and I was alone in the car, so rather than ride his ass until he moved, I simply went around him. Not that big of a deal here, but I have come to understand that in Europe they pull you out of the car and shoot you on the side of the road for this. |

Back many centuries ago - when I was younger - it was called OE. Original Equipment. Not sure what or why gangsta has to do with it nowadays. Yes - I know it was coined from a rap artist or something similar. Sheesh
