Yes, I figured that might be the case. It must have gone VA12999 to VD35xxx. The only weird thing about that though, is that my VIN is pretty close to VD35999. It's not 35999, but if they're sequential, they're going to run out of numbers soon again!

Don't know what that means - just found it interesting. It seems that models are assigned sequential blocks of numbers, but I could discern no obvious transition points among those blocks. For instance VB25200 is a 2005 318d. |

Lots of boats in the docks today at Bremerhaven.
Tombarra is there, which has calls at Halifax, Baltimore and Galveston. Morning Courier left last week, and had only 1 W36 car on it bound for Port Hueneme. I'm hoping to get on Thalatta this Friday, but probably won't know if that happens until Monday next week. <Bremerhaven date> --- <Port Hueneme date> --- <Ship> --- <Rout> ---<Line> 22-Sep --- 20-Oct --- Thalatta --- CD738-THA --- WWL 22-Sep --- 23-Oct --- Marguerite Ace --- 0072A --- MOL 27-Sep --- 21-Oct --- Equuleus Leader --- 096 --- NYK 29-Sep --- 26-Oct --- Tortugas --- CD739-TOR --- WWL 30-Sep --- 27-Oct --- Clover Ace --- 0062A --- MOL[/QUOTE]

Automated-Genius still says that my car is awaiting release to carrier... Hoping maybe that's delayed and it made a boat today, but who knows. I completed production on 9/12, and real-live-Genius told me that the car did "QC" on 9/13 but I haven't heard anything else after that. :/
mine is also a VD3xxxx car. The WWL search is only turning up a single "VD3" VIN (ending in 91) that I can see right now... Showing on Morning Courier.

Automated Genius said on it's way to the port, actual person Genius said it arrived at Bremerhaven on Saturday, and is awaiting assignment to a vessel. I'm still hoping for Thalatta!

I thought about that too, which seems plausible, but then saw other cars complete production before and after the 12th and have all left the factory. I have no idea.

I feel bad for you Tag, mine completed on the 12th, and is already at Bremerhaven. Having said that, I'd rather have my car late and OK than on time with a fault!
Hope you get to the port sooner rather than later. On the plus side, there is more boats to the East coast than the West, so it shouldn't have cost you much time.

Click on the box (step) that your car is in, and a little text bubble pops up that says in detail the status of the car.

Tombarra did indeed leave yesterday, and the list of vehicles loaded on it is quite large. You should be able to see now if your car is on it. It looks like the WWL tracking data is 1 working day behind reality. I had assumed it was 3, but that was because Friday cars didn't show until yesterday, but yesterday's cars are showing today. The automated BMW USA tracking seems to be 1 ~ 2 working days behind. Yesterday they told me that my car was on its way to Bremerhaven, and today they say it's arrived. Genius told me yesterday that it arrived on Saturday. The MyBMW website shows my car 'Has left the plant and is ready to ship', but I only found out this morning (thanks to dtmpower98) that you could get additional detail from the site, so I'm not sure how behind it is.

By the look of it, all the cars on Tombarra are listed as 'Port of Discharge' for Halifax, NS. If that's correct, none of the cars on Tombarra are bound for the US.
Also left yesterday is the vessel 'Lake Superior', bound for New York. Only 6 M2s on that vessel.
