Car is at the port waiting for a vessel. Anyone know what are the next ships departing soon?

Mine is as well. You should post in the timeline thread. Hopefully we are able to get on the Tortugas which is scheduled to depart on Tuesday.

Plus, I am not getting anything installed at the port--the dealer is doing installation of my MPerformance stuff (since I save hundreds of bucks doing it that way, with this dealer), and predicts no more than 24 hours for that exercise. He says that will also save me time.

So you may be right--it all might even out! Week 43 is coming up. This whole process has been a lesson in hurry up and wait, that's for sure...
BtuceM - Sounds like you certainly will get your M2 before me by avoiding the long boat ride to the West Coast. Were you not tempted to pick up your car at the dealer and drive it across the country to Seattle?

Long drive, and that's not the kind of driving I want this car for Plus, steady freeway speeds aren't good for break-in.

I am sure, as it gets closer, I will second-guess this decision....

Awesome! My dealer originally gave me a week 40 production, but apparently that's SOP, which likely means a week 43 EOP. Soon...

Does anybody have any sort of idea as to how long it could take for your car to go into production after getting 112 status? I called customer relations today and they said since it's an M car they really couldn't tell. They also only gave me a rough estimate build week of 43 (what they told me two weeks ago) but say I could be delayed. They also said that since I only got my production number a couple weeks ago that it's still too early to tell when build week would be. Does this sound right?

We basically have the same situation: same car, same week, same info from Genius, whom I also called 2 weeks ago. I'm planning on calling again tomorrow.

I got my allocation around 9/13, it was status 112 within 4-5 days (which is dependent on how fast your CA enters the order I think). I was told I was week 42 and my car went into production on 9/29/16. Current estimated completion is 10/15/16. If you are week 43, I think you should enter production in the next week or so.

That's what I was thinking. I'm hoping by next week I should be in production. If not then the I'm sure it's been delayed.

If you called the customer service line to no avail I would call the genius line, they may be able to tell you something different.

I thought I saw somewhere on the forum that the customer relations line gave you more details. I have no problem trying that to see how the genius line works

Seems to depend what person you get on the phone on either line. The other day the genius person told me there won't be more updates until production is done, the person today told me to call back in a couple of days because sometimes they can tell me when it enters paint, etc.

Let's be honest, we are probably all driving them insane, but it's so much fun to get the updates!

Hopefully you'll get a straight answer about your production week at least...

It can't hurt to call so I will just do that. She did tell me that people with M orders call the most. Said they were having a lot more call volumes lately. Gee I wonder why.

Hahaha, not surprising! But just think, in just a few weeks from now we will both be very happy campers!

It would be a bonus to have the car before first snowfall to at least drive it once before winter hibernation.

I was given a week 42 build yet my car started production the morning of Sept 30. The was from the Genius #. The next day on the website it showed that it started production. Does it really take over 2 weeks from start to finish?
