"Blue" Greetings from Switzerland *(Quite picture-intensive)*

After almost 8 excruciating months of waiting, I finally took delivery of the little beast that I have seen, read about and even touched at the Geneva International Motor Show.

First time in my life taking a plunge and ordering a car I never had a chance to test drive. But I must say after picking up the car yesterday and driving it home for almost 2 hours through varying traffic situations, it is definitely capable and suitable as a daily driver.

Car dropped off today for clear bra application and will only be back next Wednesday. What's another couple of days waiting after 8 months right?

Really not easy to capture the color of LBB as most pictures turn out closer to blue. Weather has been awful over the last 2 weeks. Hope to get better pictures soon. These have to do for now ...

Pics taken a week ago without M Performance suspension installed:

M Performance suspension installed with the front 5mm higher than BMW's recommendation (my garage entrance has a fairly steep downward slope). Obligatory pics taken at the dealership yesterday:

Car made safely down the garage and back home:

It should settle down a bit more after some more miles.

And you alternate between M5s and M3s for all your past cars!

I was thinking it would drop a bit lower. I'm happy with the height as it is. Therefore that's good news if it wouldn't move anymore. Thanks for the info.

Is there a posibility to mount the swiss front marks in another place? Or they did these per default..

Sali! When will you get your car? Normally it is mounted on the front bumper but I didn't want to drill holes on my bumper.

Cool let's stay in touch. But you have to inform your BMW dealer in advance. Otherwise they will just drill 2 holes and mount it on the front bumper.

Why would you block a large area of airflow to the intercooler?
Car looks awesome, but I'd take 2 holes in the bumper over that location for the plate.

That's identical to how I'd mod an M2 if I got one, very well done. I'd move the front license plate from there though

Valid point. Function should prevail over aesthetics on that part. Avoid obstructing that part of the front end, hence definitely move the license plate.

Same spec as mine.

How does it ride compared to stock with the Coilovers?

Thanks guys for your concern regarding the location of the front plate. It's a personal preference. Small price to pay.

We have a really small front plate over here in Switzerland so not that much of an issue for driving on the street with regards to airflow intake. I can easily remove the plate holder when I go on track anyway.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you a comparison. The M Performance coilovers were already installed before I collected the car.

At the moment, they feel absolutely comfortable. Comparing with the M4's stock suspension, currently my M2 feels more comfortable. Not as stiff going over rough surfaces.

Just received a few pics from the car wrapping service guys. Paint protection film applied on the front end.
