I'm not going to say I told you so to all the folks who were claiming production would ramp up despite all evidence to the contrary (including the ones who often blew up and got rude when I would dispute it), but I told you so.

Didn't doubt it. But just out of curiosity, I'm still waiting for someone to provide an accurate number of the Oct to Dec allocation count for the US. It was 516 for the past three month, what do you reckon the number for the next three month will be?

Indeed. Just got off the phone with my CA in Indiana. He was saying that 12 allocations have been released nationally as of today. I'm #4 and #2 or 1 (not clear) on two medium-sized dealers in Indiana, so I doubt they will receive any (in favor of higher volume dealers). Oh well, the waiting game continues. |

Unknown at this point. It's slowed down worldwide. If I had to hazard a guess, likely to build other cars, especially now that the M240i is available as they may be building inventory for it to make sure it is available for all the folks who get turned away from an M2. |

Throwing in another data point:
I got an allocation for this quarter with a build date in November for likely December delivery at BMW of Dallas. Don't know exactly how many BMW of Dallas received but I'll try to ask my CA. I officially put my name on the list in May but had been talking to him in January about wanting an M2 when I returned my 135is after the lease completed. P.S. Car will be sold at MSRP. Per my CA, only the HEA car was sold for 10k over MSRP.

These low allocation predictions are not accurate. I just got a call from my CA, who told me they received four allocations for Q4. He was calling in response to an email from me telling him that I had heard the US only received 97 allocations for the quarter. He said he could only see the allocations for our region (I'm in Colorado), but that the number received in our region alone exceeded 97. On another note, I am now fourth in line! And he expects I should be hearing some very good news in December. WOOHOO!!!

As much as current M2 owners want 97 to be the case because for some reason they still think they bought a 911R or something, every other data point suggests BMW will produce more. Keep the faith everyone, more will come! I received my allocation in the last round, several days after the initial allocations were rumored to be released. |

A member here, CADK had very accurate allocation info for the last round. He told me specific dealer allocation numbers and they matched what the dealers told me days later. He hasn't posted in awhile but you can try to PM him.

Also, for what it's worth, the same CA that just called to confirm four allocations told me on Friday that they had received none even though the rest of their allocations, both M and non-M, had already been released for the month/quarter. Those low figures from David1 were probably obtained last week when BMW was still rolling out the M2 allocations to dealers.
