I DD it but no commuting, just drive it around town. Do about 10 Track Days a year.

Damn......I’m on 80/180 @15 clicks. I’m curious about 160 rear, but definitely better than stock as it is. Install was a breeze, as well as, adjust height/preload.

Ride is subjective to so many variables but with the linear springs I think its a much better ride than stock. I've had TCK's on 2 previous M3's and I beat the hell out of both those cars on track and autox for years. No rebuilds...Konis really are awesome shocks. If your worried about your roads then go for the 300/600...

They shouldn't. They went back to the old style bushings in the MR41's which should have resolved the problem.

Can anyone confirm that P/N BMSMR40S1is actually the MR41?
Update (8/18/21): I finally got a reply from Ohlins via email and they confirmed that BMU MR41 and BMS MR40S1 are identical. The later kit has a UPC code for stocking dealers. Last edited by usc335; 08-18-2021 at 09:06 PM.. |

No more spring rate options on Ohlins R&T. All new kits are 90/190 only.

I have the Öhlins with standard spring rates, at full soft I get a little car sick due to the car being slightly oversprung. Actually, car is more comfortable at 15 clicks due to the rebound being more in tune with the springs.
I have a set of 18" 513m wheels on order, doing this as a first "adjustment". Also considering going for a lower spring rate. |

Going full softie now with 60front and 120rear
Would a revalve (or any other modifications) to the shock absorber be necessary? Race shop here in Sweden will supply parts and install everything for me |

I would reduce the rate on the front spring only first and see where you land. I cannot comment on the valving however the general guideline that was mentioned to me years ago was to stick within 100-150lbs of the original supplied rates that the damper was valved for. I would suspect your suspension tech will be able to provide the guidance however imo unless the valving and gas pressure in the damper can support a 6kg spring it will be too soft and the damper will not be able to control the spring. Good luck and let us know how you go as this will help others in the same situation.

The rears will be overdamped at anything under 1000lbs even on full soft.
