2020 M2 Competition Coupe (202S)
Hockenheim Silver Metallic (P0C33)
19" M Forged Bi-color Y-Spoke Wheels Style 788 M with Mixed Performance Tires (S02QT)

Congrats!! Did you end up with a local dealer? Did you get the MT? I debated the HS...looks so awesome in person.

My CA submitted my requested build today but still hasn't received confirmation on the build. So anxious...

Will do...and links to individual journals. Hopefully, this will balloon to a couple dozen cars!

I'd suggest all of you check the status of your order. Myself and many others I have connected with have had their orders deleted by BMWNA... I have written a letter in to the customer relations team and many others to find out WTH is going on... but I'd suggest all of you double check your orders....

That's good advice...I think especially for the MY2020 orders. As for the MY2021...there aren't yet allocations, so they cannot yet be ordered. However, BMW was allowing reservations for ED. That's all the 2021 folks can do. I've submitted that and BMW has acknowledged, but not provided date. It's a risk and we'll see what happens!

I ordered my car on 5/7, submitted dates for ED reservation on 5/8... I called my dealer on 5/14 to see if my date request had been confirmed and was told my order had been deleted. I paid my deposit, had confirmed allocation and production number, etc....

Mine was an F82, comp, SMB. Nothing special. Was curious if the cancelling of orders was model specific, or something that all ED orders are subject to/experiencing.

So a 2020 then. I am under the impression, at least with some models, they may be ending the 2020 production run early and moving over to 2021. With the M4 this would be a real pain, as production was scheduled to end entirely in August I believe. I don't know in that case, but hope not!

With all M2Cs ordered after end of April or thereabouts, it would be a MY21.

I inquired my dealer around that time and he said all available units where in 105 status. I posted in another thread where BMW is looking to build out orders previous to the shutdown with MY20 and then doing a MY21 vin switch.

For those of you that have ordered a car recently, is it officially in the BMW system? I have "ordered" a M2C. However, since allocations for MY21 has not been realized, it's not tied to the production system.

What's your build? I'll include it above!

That is interesting and makes sense. From what I read over in the G20 forums, it seems they're going to roll over to MY2021 fairly soon. I have to imagine there cannot be that many pre-shutdown orders that need to be finished for MY2020, so perhaps they use the last two weeks of May to finish those and then move on to MY2021 in June, who knows. Also read in that G20 forum that there may be no difference in the MY2021 incentives in order to keep people coming, to the extent they can. Note there are really no incentives for the M2, aside from the 0.9% APR.

I decided to forgo doing ED due to my sense that things are not going to be fully opened in July/August. And the fact that I don't want to have to wait even longer for my car to come stateside.

It is a shame BMW is eliminating this option. But I also fully understand from a business perspective.

Regardless, my build is HS, MT, executive, moonroof w/ CF spoiler, diffuser and mirror caps. Even though I have a deposit down, my dealer will reach out to me when the '21 allocations come out to officially put it in the system.

I bailed on ED also as I was supposed to be picking up my 2020 M2C on May 28th. They gave me the option of delaying until any time up to September but my 530 lease is up in August and I don't want to drive the i8 around as a daily driver. Just too many unknowns at the moment for travel restrictions even though I have both a US and EU passport. I also don't see getting on a commercial airliner any time soon until there is a vaccine available and well tested.
Now Bosch steering systems are delaying all 2 series production including the M2. The Leipzig plant shut down last Friday because of the supply issue.

That's interesting...I had read Leipzig wasn't even re-opening until tomorrow. As for the plane, I'd get on one immediately.
