Don't worry ///AVM they plan to do that with the G87 M2. The insider did mention the G87 M2 will get that horrible grille as well. Not looking forward to it. Definitely not looking forward to next-generation M3 or M4.

As for the G87 M2, bigger, more weight, no DCT, no longer made in home country and the grille.

Yeah, that cheap "spray paint" technique on the interior bits too. Seats look good though, so there is that?

I loved the look with the exception of the saw blade things. Before I looked at the close ups I thought it was meant to look like stars or a galaxy which would have been AMAZING!

BMW wants $69K for those 500 'limited edition' cars.

I am starting to think the BMW enthusiasts that comprise this forum are actually the least of the consumer segments in which BMW is interested.

Undoubtedly, I am biased by hearing what enthusiasts on this forum have to say. Members are knowledgeable and, for the most part, pretty consistent. With such reasoning - and if I were a BMW executive - I would pay close attention to what their 'biggest fans' have to say.

Instead, I guess, BMW feels they have us 'on the hook,' and are looking for ways to appeal to new consumers that might actually like some of the sh*t that makes this forum shake its head in wonderment.

///AVM

P.S. BMW execs - just in case you are listening - it is not too late to change course on the M3/4 front grille, or to price the M2 CS reasonably.

Hey BMW...I'm going to stop you right there. No seriously. Stop.

You are eroding your brand credentials, I mean, how does something like this get past the steering committee??

$69k for these limited run versions. It's not absurd for the custom paintwork, but not my cup of tea.

BMW executives, if you are listening, $69K is precisely where you should be setting base M2 CS. . . trying to save you some coin Dave.

This custom paint design was very subpar to my expectations. I was expecting this car to be more colorful or have more of an 'urban' graffiti appeal. I've seen street-corner artist paint more interesting designs on sheets of cardboard in less than 5 mins than this simple design.

My favorite BMW art car today is still Jeff Koon's

I'm going to go against the grain here and say this might appeal to some non-hardcore BMW or M enthusiasts. You have seen people in LA wrapping their cars with various designs. I'm sure there will be people jumping on this as an option from an artist with a good following.

However, if BMW can do 500 units in this unique paint scheme. They better come out with some additional color choices for MY21! Come on! Please make this last gen of the vehicle special from stock vs. releasing these "silly" special editions.

What's worse is this was a BMW M internal decision. It did not go through the larger corporate channels. This shows that they could add more color selections if they want. Sadly their initial demonstration of decision making seems suspect.

Interior is dope- exterior looks like a 3rd grade special ed art project where they can only use black or white.

This is the equivalent of a bad tattoo. I hate it when people who can't even draw on paper decide to draw on something else.

So instead of releasing colors someone would actually want and be willing to pay for they thought this was a better choice?
