I like the hat. I prefer the low key grey over the normal logo one the sales guy gave me.

Are you going to wear it when you drive the car?

... I feel like a d bag wearing it while I'm in an M car. Maybe I am one? Even without it.

Sometimes I wear my M hat in my M. I thought I was automatically a DB because I drive a BMW? So why stop at the car? Hat, watch, shirt, gloves... Do it!

I have my eyes on these wheels. I love the way they look. Please post a pic when you have them mounted.

I think the anthracite should look great on sunset orange and would love to see how this looks too.

Just ordered a set of PA4s that I'm going to mount on the stock 788m and need some new wheels this spring.

Yes. Gloss black painted side marker base with Sunset Orange M marker. The reversal gives it a more integrated look for the back/orange color scheme I want for my car. I'm not a big fan of CF everything. I like the interior matte CF look better than gloss. I may be a minority with that opinion.

Don't forget that M Performance thong, I'm sure it must be good for at least another 5 horse power - or should I say camel power

- IND M Performance CF/Alcentera material design matches much better to the interior of the M2C and a bit more modern looking.
- wanted a more tactile feel and didn't think this shifter would accomplish that.
- ease of installation - did not want to splice for illuminated gear pattern.
- most importantly, it's not an attractive looking shift knob *subjective opinion of course*
Appreciate all the info! Makes sense to me!

Home Garage Build Plan

As with many of you, I'm getting around to getting my garage spaces configured for optimum use. I spend a good amount of time in it so the garage has to check several boxes to be fully functional. Based on planned use for this home, I've decided not to break the bank and create my space with a budget friendly appearance.

I will have 3-4 vehicles in it at most times. Single car bay will be multi-use as a modular gym/parking space. Double bay will be storage/workshop. Ceilings are 10.5" in height and standard depth and width on both double and single bays.

Current:
5 panel high residential garage doors.
Pass through service doors.
Insulated walls, ceilings, and doors.
8500W Jackshaft door openers with WiFi.
Polyasperatic floor coating for smooth finish.
Extra electrical sub panel for future use.
Custom work table with heavy duty casters and vise-grip.
2 CSPS 42" rolling tool chests.
2-hp 20-gal Puma air compressor

Planned:
Custom garage paint scheme.
Raise garage track to 6" of ceiling.
LED/fluorescent ceiling mounted lighting.
Spotfree car wash system.
Wall mounted vacuum system.
4-post Advantage Car Lift for double bay.
PRx Performance gym in single bay.
TV and commercial drink fridge in single bay.
A/C units and industrial fans for both bays.
Storage cabinet for detail supplies.
Tire rack for double bay.

Additional Parts

Finally getting close to my break-in service. Have a call out to 'stealership' for service appointment. Time to re-focus on the M2C after a weeks of work/home distractions. Got transmission bushings and SSK on order now - probably install the bushings first, drive for a while, and provide a review. After some additional time, I will do the same for the the SSK.

Your garage is > mine my friend. However I also spend a ton of time and make the most of my 2.5 spaces.

I still manage to get my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, M2C, work bench and tools, storage, and a small gym in!

Pulling the jeep out gives me and the wife with enough room for smoking a cigar and playing cards with a drink.

Not yet.....wilk be doing so in the next few weeks after getting a fee other parts installed. I've been enjoying the 788s in the meantime which look really good with SO.

What color is your car? my friend bought race silver for his AW and I have the anthracite for SO. You can't go wrong with either color. I've seen them in person and both are lighter in shade than on the internet pics.

I think the "black" 788m look great on SO and they're my winter wheels now. Still trying to decide between 763m, ec7 and the Titan ts5 for my summer set. Curious what the anthracite looks like on SO too so looking forward to seeing them on your car!

Finally after almost 3 agonizing months, the break-in service was done today. Let's just say it was time to hoon it a bit on the way home.

I stopped by and picked up the following trim parts to finish out my interior mods, compliments of my friend 'j0oftheworld'.

Friend of mine and I took a short drive out to some twisties towards Bartlett Lake. Finally got to push the car hard at speed and on the road. It's definetely a fun car for sure. A bit heavy but the power to weight ratio makes up for it on high speed turns. Camber and maybe even more grip would offer more confidence for sure on turns. Overall I love the constant power in any gear across the band.
