What is the typical timing on M2C order?

Greetings all. I ordered a 2020 M2C on June 21, 2019 from Co's BMW in Loveland, CO. My spec is for a Orange Sunset with black forged wheels, DCT, executive package, and no sun roof. Can't wait to get it. What I would like to know is the experience other people have had regarding the timing of getting their car from ordering to delivery. I have been told by the dealer it is a 2 to 3 month process. As you may be able to tell I am very antsy to get the car. I took a test drive in June in a car with similar specs to my order for about an hour or so in the foothills of CO and was really impressed with the car. Thanks in advance for any comments plus I look forward to sharing my experience with the car once I have it.

your mileage may vary..

I'm in process myself and there are a few threads active in the ordering sub and here about people in process. There's a bunch of variables that can stretch it out depending on the allocation available to dealer, build week, then the build process itself, logistics.

I put my order in on the 15th of May and its on a boat due to doc at my port of entry on the 13th of July. from there I've heard a few days to a few weeks depending on port activity, damage/repairs, lining up truck etc.

It was almost two weeks waiting at Bremerhaven.

Check the ordering sub, there's an official tracking thread there that can give you an idea and some phone numbers to call to badger BMW and track the car.

enjoy and congrats on the purchase. Loving the Orange cars!

Yea, mine was way different due to European Delivery...

built in July
ED pick up in September
redelivery in November

I would set an expectation of 3 months and if it arrives in 2, then it's a bonus! haha

6-8 weeks is typical for east coast, assuming the dealer has an allocation. Add a few more weeks if west coast. All of this should have been discussed up front. Most times the dealer can give you a very good estimate because they know when their allocations are scheduled for production. Were you given a production number?

What I am seeing so far is the 2-3 months is pretty accurate. Thanks all, I'll just be patient (yea, right) and wait for my car.

Skier219, yes, I just got my production number today and it is scheduled for production. And yes, we discussed it up front, just wanting confirmation of what the dealer said.

By any chance is yours on vessel THEMIS? Your dates seem similar to mine. Haven't heard of any destination dates to the West coast.

My car is on the Themis Leader, it should arrive at Port Hueneme in a couple hours. My CA estimates that my car will arrive at the dealership in SF on July 16.
