Powdercoating?

Buying a set of 763m wheels that are powdercoated, talked to the company that did it professionally and talked to a few local shops that all say it's an old wives tale that it weakens the strength of the wheels. Anyone know the truth about this? Would like to know before I shell out the money for the wheels! Anyone have experience with cracking/bending/breaking wheels after powdercoat?
Thanks!

According to those charts it take 24hrs at heat before significant change shows up in strength.

Thanks! I talked to the shop that did it and it was 10 min at 400 deg F. Shouldn't be an issue in my opinion and seeing as they are not full time track wheels (maybe 2 times a year) they should be fine. Very strong wheels to start with so a suspected 2-4% loss in strength shouldn't be an issue! Again I appreciate the input! Hope everyone is doing well and healthy!

I briefly considered those wheels but that brighter color, powder coated, with the stock brakes...I figured the brake dust might be an issue. You may be cleaning them frequently.

Brake dust WAS a problem. I upgraded to Hawk ceramics. Superior modulation and NO DUST! Winner!

A small price to pay for nice looking wheels! They have 2 coats of ceramic on them currently and I plan to add 1 or 2 more! Should help the brake dust a bit
