Long story short I tried to update my iDrive to the newer iD6, but didn't do too much research into the prerequisites and turns out iD4 can't just do a simple coding upgrade.

I've since coded back to iD4++ but it ended up breaking my map, speed limit warnings, and I can't use apps like Spotify or the M laptimer. I don't mind losing the map as I never use it anyway, but ideally would like to have that for when I eventually sell the car.

So, are there any ways to fix this without taking it to the dealer? (I'm out of warranty).
