Stain on Remus exhaust carbon tip

Hello,

I have noticed this stain on one of my exhaust tips. The age old universal saliva-kleen did not fix it. Anyone knows what this is ? Oxydation, clear peeling off ? Remus asks a pretty penny for these tips so I want to explore my options prior to buying a new one.

that looks like clear coat oxidation to me

Thanks for the replies. I sent the pics to Remus in Austria, not hoping for much as I bought the exhaust over two years ago.

I had a reply from the swiss importer within 12 hours...
They sent me 4 brand new tips...they use a new logo and they did not want me running around with mismatched pipes. They even paid for the return shipping for the old tips, they want to check them at the factory.

Now that is customer service !

Bravo to Remus for stepping up and standing behind their product !!!

Nice! I hope mine don't develop the issue you had but it's comforting to hear they honor the warranty.

Besides the new logo any other differences?

That is fantastic customer service for backing their products that were sold 2 years ago. Did they offer to provide you carbon like for like tips?

What's also up with the quality of the new Remus logo on the tips the tips though? Not sure if it's the picture quality but it doesn't appear to be finished off well?

I've never been a fan of the fox and Remus wording on the tips so i reckon that's an improvement aesthetic wise.

No difference, same diameter and same titanium inner part.

Remus sent me 4 new carbon tips to replace the ones I have, no questions asked, based on the original invoice I sent.

The logos are perfect, it is the picture that doesn't get uploaded properly. I actually really like the contrast between the dark pipes and the white lettering.

Ah cools, good stuff! Couldn't tell the new ones are carbon as well! Didn't appear to be as glossy as your old ones.
