BCX Fall covered bridge tour

BCX (Bucks County Exotics) hosts a regular cars and coffee meet in Doylestown Pa. Every October they do a covered bridge tour through rural Bucks county. This year the date is Sunday October 4th, with a rain date of Sunday October 18th. Further details will be posted shortly with times and meeting location...but wanted to post this on here for anyone who wants to mark their calendars in the southeast PA region. Its always a very cool drive. Wanted to pass this along to my M2 brethren as a few of you have participated in the past.

Any more info? Same park parking lot meeting spot or possibly different this year?

For those of us that would be first timers for the proposed covered bridge tour, can you confirm what day, start time and meeting location? Thanks!!

From Ernie at BCX..."Our 8th annual Bucks County Covered Bridge Tour will be on Sunday, October 4th, leaving at 9am (rain date is Sunday, October 18th). We’re starting at Cold Spring Elementary School in Buckingham…same as last year. The drive is 40 miles."

It really depends on the size of the group. At last count we are over 30 cars so that tends to slow things down a bit. Id say plan on at least 90 mins, maybe longer.

Just checking the local weather forecast for this weekend and it looks great for Sunday...so everything should go on as planned.

Thinking of bringing the dog along for the drive. Is there a lot of revving / tire squealing expected at the meetup point? If so, she'll just stay home.

I don't recall it being like that the 2 years I've attended but I can't speak to how it'll be this year. It's usually a pretty mature crowd. Maybe a rev here and there but not enough noise where I'd worry about bringing a pooch.

Its family and doggy friendly. This group is too big (and mature) for shenanigans. I tell everyone that attends this drive that if they are expecting a rally stage they are going to be severely disappointed. Its a laid back cruise with a large group of cars.

I've met a few of you from the forums, but if I havent yet, please stop by and introduce yourself! I'll be in my Imola red M4 Heritage land yacht

Perfect weather for another tour. Thanks for looping us in again, Slowphiveo. And thanks to the other m2's for coming out. Great to meet everyone. Look forward to a time when cruises can end at a restaurant so we can chat more.

Great to meet everyone. I got a few pics of the group and will post them soon. I'll also put the Dropbox link up here when Joe posts his pics.

I know it was a big group today and as a result we really didn't get to do any real driving so....

*if anyone is interested in doing a part 2, I would be up for doing this again at a better drivers pace, with just a small group of BMW M car people if any of you are interested. Thinking Saturday the 17th since there is a large BMW meet in north Jersey on the 18th. Thinking we can keep it to less than a dozen cars so we can move a little better. Let me know!

I can probably do the 17th. For the 18th, are you referencing the nj cca fall fun drive?
