I have some on my IG story highlights (1, 2, 3) from couple months ago. Just some revs in the shop though, no fly-by etc.

Yeah I can understand that. Maybe we can get other tips and subtract the difference. I have to say that carbon tips look nice.

Not really to be honest and there are various reasons. Akrapovic has the best build quality IMO and the catback version saves about 33lbs if I remember right (Mine only drops ~20lbs). The main reason I didn't/couldn't even consider it was the cost. $7K for a catback is pretty steep for me. I'm also not a huge fan of the soundtrack of Akra. It's definitely better than M3/M4 version but still not what I was looking for. I probably could live with how it sounds if it was priced the same as my current setup but price difference was crazy.

After looking closer at some pictures of these Remus setups, it appears the valve location is further towards the rear of the car and the wires connected to the valve actuators are stretched a bit with some looking stretched the to point of being stressed. I'm concerned about exhaust movement while in motion and under forces causing issues with the wiring. Can anyone with first-hand experience comment on this?

It comes with extension cables. The stock valves do not even reach the new location of the valve actuator. You have to use the extension cables which have a decent length. None of the cables on mine is anywhere near being strecthed. In fact, I even zip tied mine so that they don't dangle.

it depends on the person, i dont feel the race is too loud with stock downpipes. You might disagree. If you are not too sure, get the sport as its the safer option and you can always add catted downpipes in the future for a louder sound.

I already have aa single midpipe and I don’t want to touch the stock DP. That setup race + midpipe not going to avoid warranty right ?

no need to worry about the warranty since REMUS would cover any warranty issue with their system if needed

im coming from a catless akra system on my OG. I am now in an M2CS Trying to decide between the Race and Sport. I like the sound of the Sport but im used to a very loud system. Can anyone comment on which would be closer to my Catless akra system? both will be paired with the EL pipe. If i go sport it will be un resonated and Race maybe resonated. Keeping stock DP

1) Remus Race + AA midpipe (link to the review thread)
2) Remus Sport + stock midpipe
3) Remus Sport + AA midpipe (current)

I could only live with the first setup for a week. I used to think I have a high tolerance for loud exhaust but apparently I don’t 🙂 Even with stock downpipes, that combo was ridiculously loud for my taste and it made me more nervous than anything. Remus Race muffler has minimal restrictions in terms of volume so even with valves closed, I would get a slight drone near 80mph on highway. I then switched to Remus Sport but since I was afraid it could be too loud again, I paired it with the stock midpipe for awhile. I would say Remus Sport is one of my favorite axlebacks as it eliminates most of the S55 rasp by itself (exhaust outlets has built-in resonators which help a lot with adding a deeper tone). Even though I was extremely happy with Remus Sport+stock midpipe combo, I knew I had to give the AA midpipe a try with Remus Sport (I didn’t wanna regret not trying later on 😄 ). Long story short, I paired Remus Sport with AA midpipe yesterday and I absolutely love it. Nowhere near as loud as the Remus Race+AA combo and the sound is much more refined and deep. In fact, couple of my friends who own an OG M2 messaged me saying it sounds pretty similar to their N55. After all I just wanted to improve the sound of my S55 and I’m quite happy with the end result. I’ll let the videos speak for themselves. Here are some cold start, rev and fly-by recordings. For the most accurate representation of the sound, I recommend listening with your headphones since these are just iphone recordings.

Do you have more videos outside ? How the Remus sport sounds with aa midpipe?

Setup sounds amazing.
If I go with the Remus Sport + AA midpipe, will it throw any CEL's?
