Plates installed (correctly this time) and camber set. Threw my Apex 18x10 wheels with Hoosier r7s on. Have a bit of rubbing on the front struts with 12mm spacers. Am hoping the federals won't rub, or else I'll have to go up to 15mm spacers.

Had a great time at grattan! My first track event with the M2 was nothing short of awesome! This car is certainly at home.
An M2c showed up Sunday, but he was running in the solo group, so I didn't get a chance to run with him. Other than that, I was the only M2 out there. I mentioned before, the federal Rs-rr tires are loud, and that was even more confirmed on the track. Coming down the straight, they put out an insane whistling sound. I had a bunch of people come up to me and ask if I had a modified turbo or something. They do have very good grip, at least at my driving level. I never felt like I didn't have control. They also wore evenly thanks to my camber plates and seem to have plenty of tread left for at least a few more weekends. I started the weekend off slowly as I learned the car, and myself. By the last session, I was able to put down around 1:37 lap times fairly consistently. I was likely the fastest in my group, as I was consistently passing everyone. My run group had everything from a Golf GTI, to a porsche, to an audi ttrs. Overall it was a fantastic weekend and I look forward to doing it again very soon! Video of my last session. |
