When you say "bumper" does it mean spring or shock? Anyway it cannot be normal that either brake after 5000km!!
I've had mine for 25000km without issues and I expect lot of km:s before change.

BUT, something to keep in mind before buying it for a car used as DD is that coilover bumpers have a much lower longevity than normal ones. I know what I’m talking about. I installed the M-perf suspension on my M2 LCI when it had 5000 kms. One of the rear bumpers broke one year after, after 10000kms. One of the front one just broke after 25000kms. Based on what I could learn from the mechanics of my BMW garage, it’s the normal longevity of KW coilovers whose main recommended use is track, not road. I found similar information on the web.

I mean the shock. I guess that they could live longer with smoother roads than in my country (Belgium). Still, they are designed for performance, not longevity, and are supposed to live much less than normal bumpers. If one breaks, you have to replace the pair (front or rear), which means a cost of 1k€ + manpower. Still, I read that KW can refurbish them for ~100€ per shock. I won’t do it, as my suspension is still under warranty.
Interestingly, the mechanics at my BMW garage told me that even the stock coilovers of the M4 GTS break easily...

In a weird weird way, I have an M2C and have to agree with this spot on...

On perfect, track like roads the car feels great... but if you are driving the car hard into turns, or up highway on ramps and there are any bumps or imperfections in the road, the car feels like it wants to fly away or takeoff and it has an odd amount of side to side sway. In many ways its un nerrving and kind of makes me lack confidence when driving hard... considering the Mpss to help fix this... shouldn't have to do this in a 60K + M Car.

Stupid rule but true. I had mine installed in a race shop so they could do ride height, rake and corner balance. When my right front shock blew out they said it’s not covered due to outside install. The install had nothing to do with failure but BMW goes the extra mile to not cover. By, the way, they wanted $1,100 for one new unit ( part only)...I discovered KW will rebuild both fronts for $300.
After all of this, I put on MCS 2NR and they are a big improvement over the MP.

This is exactly what I felt with the stock suspension. As posted above, the stock suspension is not only a joke, its an imposition and a shame!

Do the MPS, you'll love it! It's more complaint on normal roads and you can properly corner the car with lots of confidence and precision as it should be from the get go. The rear is now planted perfectly well, no bouncing anymore. The MPS transforms the entire car, into a much better car.

By far the best and most important mod to this car, and at least for me, it's night and day!

Before buying my 2018 M2, I test drove a demo car equipped with Mps suspension and it rode better than my 2018 on bad roads.

I latter test drive my friends car on track with Mps suspension and it was much much better than mine.

I then ordered Ohlins

Anyone do a direct comparison to Bilstein B16?
Seems like that setup might be more comfortable on the street.

There is a thread around here somewhere.

In a nutshell: both are comparable in quality of ride to each other. Which is slightly stiffer than OEM.

Ohlins is of higher quality and of course price than Bilstein (due to its "monotube" design with better heat dissipation)

Just curious did you go with true Coilover in the rear with the motion control Coilovers ?

How did the ride improve and have you had any issues?

0 issues. Ride quality is near identical to stock, the car just sits lower and feels more planted in the corners. It's not much stiffer at all, people are always surprised it rides as soft as it does. Obviously it isn't a Lexus, but for a lowered M car it's very tame.

I'm really considering HAS Kit from MP or KW even Diana. My car won't be tracked and just back roads.

I don't track either, this is just a fun weekend car for the backroads. These have been perfect for almost 3 years now and I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. If I had any complaints about this kit I'd switch to something else because I'm very picky. I had the H&R sport springs before the KWHAS and they were great too, I just didn't like the lack of height adjustability which is why I switched. Ride height (not quality) was my main priority but by a happy coincidence, these ride amazing. Win win.

The installation instructions say... The installation time is approx. 5.5 hours. multiplied by your dealer's hourly rate.

My dealer's tech--very experienced installing other suspension--ran into a few hiccups w/the MPS but did a fantastic job. To my dealer's credit they held to the 5.5 hours.

Alignments are typically a BMW "value" service to be competitive with independents. My dealer charges $149.

HTH.

Looks right. If higher they probably did that to protect the splitter. I plan to raise mine front and back a few mm.

When I look at my car I don't think I can do the 255/275 that I did on the M2 but people say I can?

I'm running 255/285 RE71s for the track, which are wider than michelins in the same size. For daily driving I run 255/275 MPSS with ease, -2.9 camber in the front, lowered into v3's. Not a problem at all

What is an MPE HAS kit?

MPE = M Performance Exhaust

HAS = Height Adjustable Springs

BMW only makes coilovers for the M2/M2C, they don't make height-adjustable springs:
