I have a 2020 M2C with 8900 miles in USA. The car is at the dealership thanks to a check engine light reporting Misfires on cylinder 1 and cylinder 3 due to faulty Injector-1 and potential on Injector-3. I'm new to the S55 platform but is this common?

The car has had a few spirited drives via canyon drives and 2 Track days (with a few months between them)... seems kind of way too soon for 2 injectors to be going out? Based in SF Bay Area in California, and it has been cold recently but not sure if there is some correlation or just coincidence (I've read on some forums that in some cases the seals may flex with temperature)..

Should I be pushing the dealership to do more other than just replacing the injectors?

A misfire on cylinder x not injector x

A misfire could be fuel or spark plug or fuel injector or ignition or coil pack or compression.

The injector itself would be rare and especially two at once, more likely common fuel issue.

Thanks @[doughboy] , I corrected the message. I was getting misfires on cylinder-1 and cylinder-3 and the SA confirmed that they found faulty injectors for 1 and 3. They are replacing them under warranty.

However, fuel injectors being replaced (2 let alone 1...) seems kind of foretelling to some other known issue or am I reading too much into it?

If it helps, I'm at 15700 miles without any repeat of the issues that started this thread.

Thanks bri1042 for that anecdote...

I get the car back Tuesday... and I'm hoping for the same result.
