I don't think that includes tips or else you'd see the part number for the tips (x4) up top.

Funny how the performance exhaust actually utilizes the area below the trunk to tuck the can up and out of sight whereas the stock one hangs visibly low. What a bunch of bastids, lol.

you laugh but the bmw performance engineers spent months figuring this out, tons of R&D, numbers crunching, thinking and stuff...then bam!

But beyond the outrageous pricing here, I'm mostly intrigued by this picture. Looks like the cut location on the stock system will be similar to Remus. Most intriguing of all - what are find numbers 3 & 8 in this diagram? Last edited by evolved///M; 04-22-2019 at 05:08 PM.. |

There should be another exhaust tip option that's not CF as well, no? Thought the M3/4 offered that with the performance exhaust. Either way I'm sure with some searching you can find tips that fit for a fraction of the cost.

There won't be one in Europe. Buy another system! Quote:

So... what are we looking here! A MPE system that costs $4,520.00 USD excluding tailpipes... while an Akrapovic slip-on system (currently the most expensive system on the market) costs $4,827.30 USD and includes four larger carbon tailpipes. Add the tailpipes and we are at $6024 USD. I wonder if the MPE has the "wonderful" BT remote. Now let's touch on your port install which will add another 1000 USD of installation cost??? I can see that some might want to keep their warranty, but also when it gets this expensive?? What a fail! I now understand why it took them so long. They were ashamed about price tag. Artemis can you merge this topic with the one in the S55 / exhaust forum section? MR Last edited by MR.; 04-22-2019 at 04:54 PM.. |

I was already ready to pull the trigger on the Akra, but may consider it. Essentially the MSRP is the same between both slip ons when you add in the MPE tips. Considering either to go Akra Evo or pair the MPE with the Akra link pipes. Will most likely come down to whether I can get a larger discount on the Akra or MPE.

Edit: Eh never mind I can pick up a Akra Evo for $6550 USD i'd be stupid to even consider a similar priced system that is only the slip on, let alone having to cut the stock system
