Anybody have these mounted with 275's? curious on spacers. May get a set of Turner 15mm just for safety.
10mm spacer should do it depending on the tire used. 15mm spacer would definitely get the job done.

Would it not hit the fender at 33 minus 15mm= 18mm? The 25 offset on my 18x10's already stuck out a mile past the fender.

10mm spacer would be most appropriate for most situations. Although as you know, many people like to push the limits. If someone was on modified suspension, running max negative camber and full slicks (which tend to run wide), the 15mm spacer may be necessary. Otherwise, 10mm spacer is the way to go. Sorry, I should have been more clear in my last post.
Thanks again!

Everything stock, 265/35/18 Re71r, fitment is great, look is aggressive and pretty acceptable wheel gap for an 18" smaller diameter tire. Just as I expected so far. Next week they are put to the true test on the track. Impressed, thanks Keith for putting these together!
How much space to do you have to the suspension on the front running a 9.5 wheel with a 265 tire?

Perspective is always deceiving on these photos so take it for what it is worth. Overall, there is not a lot of space left between the strut and the wheel/tire with the 265 tire 18x9.5 combo. If I were to take an educated guess, maybe 7mm-10mm of space?? The 275 will be closer but still might work on the 9.5inch rim without a spacer in my opinion. I think camber plates will be needed for clearance upon compression on the outer fender tab area with the 275 though. One of the things that we often forget is, it's not just the added width of the 275 but the extra height that is the killer. Every wider fitment I've ever done on the 1 and 2 series has always been incredibly tire height sensitive, which is an extra pain In stock form, this 265 set up is hard to beat, it just bolts up and works

Thanks, I'm planning on running a 265 square set up and just wanted to make sure it wasn't super tight on the front.

Wheels on LBB M2

I installed Motorsport Hardware 1.25 to 1.5 conversion studs, 12mm spacers in front. I have GC camber in front with about -2 setting.

TR wheels with 275/35/18 71R's square.
I tried 10mm spacers in the rear but too much protrusion.
Also added a shot of the Recaro CS seats that are in.

Recently bent the front right factory wheel on a chunk of concrete thanks to the Caltrans 405 project. At $165, these are staying on.

Thanks to Keith, of course for the help and guidance.

NICE setup! Love the seats.

Just by chance did you try to bolt the front wheel/tire without the spacers? Would it bolt up or was the 275 tire hitting the stock suspension? Thanks.

How does the ride compare between the 18 and 19s. I just bought a winter set of C4's and Pirelli zero one fr (245/40/18). All I need now is my car to mount them.

One of Tire Rack's engineers got back to me on the spacer issue today. I was incorrect in recommending 10-15mm spacer.
He assured me a 5mm spacer is all that would be needed to clear a 275/35/18. Sorry for my mistake in the previous message.

Also, if anyone is looking to swap to a stud kit, we do carry the proper kit:
Black lugs - http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...B&ID=209&a=FW5
or
Polar light lugs - http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...5&ID=210&a=FW5

* Note – because of the M14 thread, the nuts now have a 19mm head and requires a 19mm socket.
Cannot do a 17mm socket on M14 thread.
** BMW switched to M14 hardware for a reason => clamping force.
*** All of the our Tire Rack test cars have this stud kit on them.

Please let me know if I can help further.
Thanks!!

I could not fit the BMW OEM caps on my wheels, they were slightly too large.

Tirerack makes some caps that fit the wheels if you want them. I tried them and they work well with the wheels, however, I went against my better judgement to see if they would hold up to track use and, well, of the four I had, I am down to only two now Front wheel caps melted/popped right off and are littering the track now. I knew better, but I had to try.

You're saying the TRM caps didn't stay off or TR's version of OEM caps for these wheels came off?

This picture shows the caps that Keith sent out to fit the wheels. Again, great caps, work well, and look pretty good. But like any other plastic caps out there, intense track heat does them in. I was just having a little fun to see what they could take.

Thanks very helpful. Considering selling my 17" track setup for something new and these look good...

I like this for my snow wheel/tire package. Cost/weight/8.5"width for an 18" square set on an F80.

I am assuming when I get my M2 this wheel is the same fitment for the M2/M3...And can be used on both cars?

MDM intervention on track with TR4 square?

I would like to track my M2 in sport plus (MDM mode) without turning DSC off.

For those who tracked the TR4's or any square set up, have you tried running in MDM mode on track? Is MDM intervening more and cutting power because the square set up has the same diameter tires front and back?

I am saying this because the F87 rear tires diameter are approximately 2.5% larger than the front. Based on the information on the F82 forum running the same diameter all around will increase MDM/DSC intervention (as it thinks the rear slips).

I did research the F82 forum and found the following thread that contains valuable information.

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ight=staggered

In summary, if you tracked your M2 with a square set up in MDM mode, please share your experience, are the nannies always intervening?

Thanks

Yes, that is correct.
