could you post up some install and close up pics please.
I'm having it done and I had to drop it off a day early since I'm flying over my appointment day.

I had to jump through a lot of hoops logistically since they're an hour from my house, they didn't have a loaner (since I was a day early), and I had to get to the airport.

So, no pics.

I've got a UCP sitting in a box in my garage- I just haven't been home on a day with nothing to do when the weather is good to install it.

I have a ton of parts waiting on free time (and, I need to figure out how to pull the rear trim panels off to install those metal anti-sound plates.)

No interest in transmission bushings as it's a Date Night toy.

Grey calipers got scratched by the tire shop so I repainted them all red! Be careful with where you stick the wheel weights as they may not clear the calipers!

Just got the test drive report from the owner of the shop-- I'll be picking up the car this evening.

Brake lines? He says, you touch the brakes, you're stopped. He said they really tighten up the feel of the brake system.

AutoSolutions SSK? He was boggled! This is a pure BMW shop (Bimmerhaus in Broomfield, CO-- VERY recommended). He's driven/raced a lot of different BMW's with different types of shifters, shift heights, etc., and he said this one was amazing-- just about the best he's ever felt. He said that if it was his car, he'd be really, **REALLY** happy with how it feels.

More later after I drive it home.

Nope, I had them custom paint the M logos back, I prefer it to look as OEM as possible and don't like a raised decal.

I want to do this, mind sharing what they charged for the calipers? Did they have to take them fully off the car to paint?

Wondering the process, normally I'd have to take everything off myself and bring it to my powdercoat guy. Did they do same day?

My car is actually still at the shop, so I will reserve judgment until I see the final product. Pricing varies, but here in Socal they ranged from 1K-1200 based on my research. The correct way to do it is to remove the calipers from the car and then paint them. My shop did a hybrid approach in that they removed the rotors, pads, and anything else that is in the way, but left the caliper attached to the car. I believe another forum member did something similar here. https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1776477

I was asked to leave the car for 2-3 days just to be safe. I'd rather not have them try to rush through same day for something like this. In a perfect world, I would've just bought the red m-performance calipers by themselves, but they cost $3K + cost of install/re-bleed, so I passed. I suppose you can sell your OEM grey ones and the net difference may be comparable, but that is too much work.

Gotcha thanks for the info. Seems pretty high especially without actually removing them or rebuilding but I'm in NJ. To powdercoat around here is like $400 but I'd have to break them down myself. Definitely wouldn't sell/buy totally new calipers over just powdercoating them that's way more hassle

Yea you can definitely save a lot of money if you are able to remove yourself, but so far from the pics I've been sent they have turned out pretty awesome.

They look good....but I don't mean to spoil your day, but I'm pretty sure that they painted the "M" on upside down.

Did some digging, I think they are actually okay. On driver side, M logo faces down towards the round part. On the passenger side, it does the opposite.

Its getting chilly out in these parts so the winter wheels and shoes went on today. First time ever having two sets of tires for any car (the things we'll do for this beast!) I like the 437Ms and the concave look and huge openings to see the rotors and calibers. Like a new car today...

It's the first thing I thought. The 788 are a pain to clean as we all know. The 437s were easy and I even ceramic coated them myself. I shudder at the thought of ceramic coating the 788s. Even during the swap the lugs sit deep in the groves on the 788s, whereas very accessible on the 437s.

I always thought the 437s were a classic M wheel, and they really turned out as good as I expected.

installed M performance spoiler and aluminum pedals

Regarding the M spoiler noticed the right edge is not as flush as the left side otherwise fitment looks good. suspecting it due to the 3m tape that came with it . Does anyone notice that too ?
