M2C seat/center console squeaking

Who has been noticing that seat rubbing on the center console, making loud squeaks? It's extremely loud at low speeds.

If I place pressure using some object between the seat and console, it would fix the noise mostly but I can damage the suede over time, and incovinience back seat access.

If I oil the joints, I lose my new car smell.

If I go to bmw they will most likely destroy my car smell with the junk they are gonna use to fix it.

Anyone work around this?

I had a similar issue. I put felt tape in between the seat and console and it did the trick. Maybe worth a try.

I have a similar sound but it appears to come from the center of the seat back.

Yeah I just jammed a towel in between the seat and console... it's kinda perking up my inside side flare a bit though. Crazy they didn't consider any workaround on this

Hmm... the seatbelt mounting has felt tape, and the sides pf the seat aren't leather. How have you got the seat set and which bit is squeaking?

I had a similar problem w/my X4 seat. I think that one was related to the center console lid. Either way they fixed it and it's been fine since. Knock on wood.

I thought the M2 problem and solution would be the same. Turns out when you move the seat forward you can see how the center console is pushing in/denting on the side of the bolster. There was nothing they could do that would not look like well s**t. What the tech did notice was that if he took the service ticket that they hang from your mirror and put it in between the squeaking stopped.

Not a great or permanent solution but when it bother's me I just put a napkin or piece of paper in between the seat and console. Obviously, it falls out when I open the center console but it works.

Dang yeah I mean I would take it in but I don't trust the technicians sweaty hands LOL and their solution. I'll try removing the rear a/c vent assembly and just jam napkins everywhere I guess lol
