Sometimes I had cel and limp mode after 10 kms, some other times nothing for hundreds of kilometers. Sometimes I can push to the rev limiter with no issues (one time I also reached the speed limit), some other times it goes in limp mode if I go full throttle at 3000 rpm. No logic, the only way is to remap if you want to push hard your car and have no issues.

Forgive me for my inability to understand basic terminology but I have a few questions:
1. What is an OPF and do all m2c models have them even in USA? 2. So I can’t put a AA midpipe on my car without it freaking out? Thanks |

The issue is non-existent for USA cars. You don’t have OPFs. |

To me it looks like a simple bypass on the opf sensors near the gearbox,is just this or requires something else? |

Sorry guys, like a lot of people, I'm still waiting for my AA EL midpipe and axle-back.
I didn't install the LEIB OPF Deleter yet, but different feed-backs are good ! |

I just got my harness too, but instructions on how to do it are beyond vague Did you follow a guide to do this or just took bits off until you could access the sensors? Any tips would be most welcome

I removed my OPF and after some hard runs it went into limp mode. The car stil drove oke, but without the strong power. With the Leib connectors it didn't went into limp mode anymore.

I got a lightweight performance exhaust with AA single midpipe installed with leib connectors since May 23.
Intil last week not a single issue. When i drive into Germany I got a drivetrain warming and limpmode. Restart and fault was gone but drove to the nearest dealership. They told me the exhaust pressure sensor was the problem. On the rest of the trip 2 more limp modes at different speeds. I also have an AK Motion 1st gen installed for a longer period. Today I drove about 2 x 20 km en after 5 km or so I got an engine light. I don’t understanding Why this is happening after all these months.

Hi, I have been driving with AK too and although you disable the OPF with that strange wire fix where you had to solder the wires yourself to their motherboard (really WTF!) it never worked. (no support from AK or whatsoever so I had it taken back out of the car).
Have also tried the sensor cheats (Leib engineering or something) too, which did not work either., and recently noticed they are not offering them anymore. Only thing that worked for me and never threw a CEL or put the car in drivetrain error (limb), was to disable it in Bootmode3 and I suppose MHD offers a similar solution. Hope this helps. |

Mines a 2018 car (never updated) and when I first ran without DPF I got no CEL at all.
But I still disabled OPF & CAT in BM3 as I run decat too now. I think one of the subsequent BMW DME updates also increased DPF sensor sensitivity which meant other folks got quick CEL/limp when removing OPF. |

Today I went to my carshop and he connected it to ista.
2 fault codes that appeal on the AK to came up on ista. Of you delete the codes they will show up again without starting the engine. So the installer thinks that the leib Connectors are the issue. I contacten them so i’m waiting for their feedback

OPF is an EU thing (maybe other territories too).
Petrol Particular Filter (OPF in German) It replaces secondary CATs under the car with more restrictive canisters to remove soot from the exhaust gases but they sap power and make the exhaust much more muted. |
