Great shots..you are in MO and I am in Illinois near St.L. Now I should know but I don't, what number of silver wheel is that. I am stock with AW, and those would look rather spiffy on white.
BTW-- my avatar says M235 re: wheel issue...haven't changed it to my 2017 M2. Thanks for any info. |

It's the 437, just like what comes on the M2, but they are Ferric Grey, which only came on the M3/M4. So, same wheel, same number, different color. It took me a while to find these, like 8 months. Most have some sort of curb rash or something, and these were damn near perfect. They look fantastic on white, just not a lot of shots of them. |

Thank you...that clears up color and style confusion I have had. Frankly was not actually searching, or desiring a change, UNTIL your shots came along LOL.
I will start my easy, no pressure hunt. Am too old to be into impulse buys on wheels. And thanks for the pix of AW. You are correct, have not seen them together. Must admit after four years now am getting a BIT weary of the darker two tone shade. Just finished using Griot's 3 in 1 on decontaminated car and did wheels. Tomorrow second coat....am very impressed with working process on it. Wheels will stay this way but a day or two, and these ferric grey might ease the pain a LOT re: extra, extra care. Thanks again.... ZKeeper |

I like the stock Jet Black/machine face...when they are clean. But I do prefer the Ferric Grey on every single color. If you could see them in real life, man, they're really nice. I was lucky enough to get a great set, and they were already ceramic coated, which has been fantastic. I also have Akebono pads, so like 15% of the stock dust, and it's grey, not orange, so the combination of the lighter wheel, the decreased dust, the dust color, and the ceramic coat is pure win for my OCD. I have seen a few decent sets of the Ferric Grey 437's go for cheap as hell, and I was like wow, these guys are either rich, or just don't care. I'd expect to pay $1800 for a nice set for sure, and maybe more than that. Head on over to the M3/M4 board and troll their wheels FS section, that's where you'll likely find them. |

Great tips and thank you. Just finished my OCD injection with wheels and paint today...am trying Griots 3 in 1 Ceramic for a kick. Have friends in Griot corp and went thru vetting process....so we will see. I am worn out today, but what fun my garage as their ad goes.
M2 owners here are almost all in their 20-30's and have a different mentality than myself. That's fine, but not a lot fellowship and bit too much faffing about. And our StL BMW chapter is on hold of course. BUT we did get a lot of summer cruise time in the Z4. Apparently you are planning on some cosmetic changes?? a different look it seemed. |

Yes, and the StL club has been on hold. Am involved a bit nationally and have been for some years, and a LOT is on hold of course. Our Flat Out Classic in Topeka with five regional chapters after 8 years was cancelled. It will work out all later. I am north central rep for the CCA recogntion committee. Good fun and not a lot of work.
Surely get your handle name....fine photos always send an echo. Bests. ZKeeper...or my name, ML. |
