My new M2 Comp
So, finally traded in my 2011 335is, found a great 5K miles M2 Comp (HS, executive package, 6 speed manual, carbon fiber splitter, sides, spoiler).
Loving the car so far. Hopefully heading in for PPF soon. Tried to replace puddle lamps with the BMW logo ones, but I can't get them to fit. Anybody else having this problem? Fun car, engine is amazing and it handles like its on rails. Also, waiting for OBD bluetooth to do some coding. How does the M2 Comp sound with ASD turned off? |

Before it was kind of ridiculous. Now it's subtle and I do not mind it. The 3 things that are mandatory for sound are: 1.Remove fuses for exhaust flaps while the car has been parked in s+(the car is almost never too loud) 2. Remove charcoal filters 3. Put back seats down That combo made the oem noises substantially more satisfying to me |

I turned off ASD 1+ years ago and never looked back. I can finally here the engine and exhaust pops now. ASD was horrible in this car IMO. Very intrusive in Sport Plus.

All you're missing is the carbon fiber wing mirrors!
Looks great! I'm actually looking to add the front splitter and glad I can see a shot on your car. How do you like it? For some reason I'm a bit underwhelmed at this point.

Congrats on your new HS!
I didn’t have any issues switching out the puddle lamps. You do need to shove it in with authority though. Try using some force and see if it goes in. Good luck and enjoy! |

Congrats! I also had a 335is at one point. M2c better car in every way minus lack of hydraulic steering feel.

Much prefer the M2C steering. Hydraulic steering is very overrated and also irritating at times. Agree with the BMW (and Porsche) engineers that it's a significant step forward for car control.

I owned a 118d, e46 m3 and 335is while owning the F80 and driving them back to back you can really tell the difference. |

+1 here who’s keeping the ASD.
I have terrible allergies, so I don’t enjoy driving with the windows down. With the windows up, however, you don’t get to enjoy the sounds of the car... too muted. IMO, the ASD is pretty good at replicating the engine & exhaust sound that can be heard from the outside. |
