Hrmm I called BMW Genius to see if my car boarded a boat yet and he said there were no open recalls on my M2C which was definitely built in the recall time period.

do you trust the genius to know how to check the DAR? Our geniuses definitely wouldn't know how to do that.

I was told that the work order for my car was completed this morning and has been released to carrier. It's scheduled to arrive at the dealership (norcal) on Feb 1st. My car was affected by the stop-sale and was stuck at the VDC since Jan 16.

I wonder if this is why my car is "stuck" in final assembly. It entered this state last week on Wednesday Jan 23 and today still sits there... My ED in Munich is scheduled in two weeks on Friday Feb 15th...

Stop-Sale Recall? Rear tail light bracket issue (service code 00 82 18)
I texted my CA yesterday and he said the recall was mainly for the X1 and BMW briefly added the 2 series to the recall and then removed it last week whatever that means.
He said it's a bracket on the tail light and not to be surprised if the recall pops up again. As far as I'm aware my car is not impacted but BMW may not have updated all the impacted vins or minimal M2Cs are impacted by this recall. |

I have removed the tail lights on both my old M235i and my new M2C. There is no bracket as far as I could see the unit just plugs into the body with rubber buttons and a few bolts.

I'm having the same issue, but with my 340i GT. Car has been at the VPC in Oxnard since 2/6/19, with very little information provided. It's like pulling teeth to find out anything. This thread provided me more information than BMW Genius and my sales rep!
