Quiet, automatic trans, sporty, comfy and with some practicality - MK7 Golf R comes to mind. If FWD is not an issue, a lot of Japanese appliances are out there.

Lexus RCF? Great V-8 engine, great sound, very comfortable. The NAV and technology is a step back, but the Mark Levinson stereo is a big step up, and the seats are sweet.

If you're always looking for another car/job etc - you'll never find the perfect one.
Why don't you wash/wax - detail your M2 to the nines and you'll think - hot damn, I have a nice car. And keep it. |

My buddy has a Stinger GT. Honestly, I think Kia hit it out of the park. It's an awesome car all around. Good looks, nice engine, good features, warranty, inexpensive.

Completely agree. I hope they sell the heck out of them and are rewarded for the design and effort. Cars like that raise the bar and force everyone else to get their act together.

I test drove a 2016 V8 F Type R, and really loved it! I keep thinking about it, but my son tells me not to make a switch from my '18 M2... and I love driving the M2, but the interior is a little plain. Thing is, for a new F Type to get (slightly) faster 0-60 times you need to spend over $100k! For $80k, you get the V6 380 HP model, which does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds... quite a bit slower then the M2. I realize 0-60 isn't the end all and be all, but I'm sure the M2 handles better, and it's one measurement that I do look at. |

A 911 sounds like the obvious choice here, but sounds like out of your price range. If you're good with looking at used then why not a slightly used 911 PDK or 6 cylinder Cayman S PDK. Every comparison review seems to crown the 911 or Cayman as the best daily driver/light track sports car available.

I also love my M2 (7 months and counting ) and looking around in the same price bracket (more or less) there is nothing notably better or more interesting currently.
In future though there might be few options: 1. Wait till Geneva when they announce 718 Cayman GT4 with 4.0L engine (current 981 GT4s will drop in price and you can have one) + a lease on a GTI for DD 2. Low mileage 991.2 Carrera S or Carrera T in manual (prices are falling due to 992 coming in March) 3. A bit longer wait and personally my favourite (hopefully my next car) 992 Carrera T in manual with 400HP is going to be perfect. BTW New 992 Carrera S does 0-100km/h in 2.9s and 0-200km/h in 10s |

Have the exact same setup, and there is definately a drone on the freeway around 3k rpm. Also have a challenger with a hemi v8, no drone at all. I can deal with it, but it bothers my wife who has some heart issues. I drive in 5th on the freeway for this reason. |
