Got this today but going to return it. Not as advertised. The damn thing is too big! Checking with BMW to see about the Black Edition badge. Let me know anyway has come across an economical alternative.

IND makes one, but it's far from economical (around $100 USD)

Edit: someone just posted up an oem m2 competition badge in the for sale section. The competition part is separate so you could just use the m2 part. He's asking 40 bucks

Let's guess: the size of the badge doesn't match, the package features the text "Stüeck" instead of the correct German word "Stück" or "Stueck" + the word "Italiy" instead of "Italy" (or another country, for example Spain) + part # 51 147 187 129 (which is no M2 part # but a former BMW 740 Li part #)
= counterfeit / no genuine BMW OEM part.

Pictures from the dedicated M2 badges thread (see here):

Fake badge inside a package featuring the wrong part # 51 147 187 129 (former BMW 740 Li part # - see here):

Genuine BMW OEM part # 51 14 8 079 564 (M2 Competition) (still registered under the pre-M2 Competition "M2 CS" moniker - see here):

And for fun's sake I also repost the original M2 badge:

Wow, you guys really got into the badge post. LOL. This is great. Probably should have gone here first to realize OEM is the way to go. I'll find out what an OEM one in Canada is selling for.

Needs some advice on a Summer setup. This is what the winters looked like today with 245/255. The rims I'm going with are the VMR 801 in Titanium Black in 19x9.5 et 35. I was going to go with 255 in the front and 265 in the rear. Do you think I could go 275 without rubbing. I want to fill out the rear. What are your thoughts.

275 will fit fine in the rear with stock offset. People do 285 regularly, even some squeezing 295 back there.

With 35 offset it should still be fine with 275s.

What was the OEM ET in the rear?

VMR wasn't sure about 275 in the rear with their 801's. So I'm hoping someone would have a similar setup 19x9.5 et 35 using 275. They also do the 19x9.5 in a et 25 and 45.

40 in the rear is stock on 19x10 wheels. 35 should be pretty close in 9.5

So I did some comparing against another M2. The black one has winter tires on it but its 245 / 265. The rear looks full and tight. Our white one has the original tires 245 / 265. Comparing to the black M2, it's not quite as full. If I go with 275 on a 19x9.5 et 35 will I achieve a similar look? Sorry, not a tire expert but I really appreciate the advice or opinion.

The lower the offset, the farther out the wheels. However, since you're dropping a half inch from the width of the wheel, you'll split that in half and convert the mm. So just over 6mm lost in wheel width on each side.

I'd probably go with ET33 instead if you're looking for a bit more flush fitment. It'll fit fine with 275s.

The rim only comes with ET35. I'd be fitting a 275/35/R19 (I think if that size is available). I googled this widget and plugged in the values using the rim and tire sizing. What do you think?

Ah. Their entire 7xx line comes in ET33. If you go with ET35, you can always add spacers to bump it out for a more flush fitment.

275/35r19 rear and 255/35r19 front is a common setup and should fit fine. Again, use spacers if you want a more flush fitment.

Also, don't listen to that tool. You likely do not want 30 aspect tires on 19s.

Edit, also, your OE sizing is incorrect so it's not even going to give you a valid response anyways.

That black M2 could have had spacers and lowered suspension giving it that flushed look.

Really appreciate the help. Thanks a lot!!

OK, I think I'll stick with the 255/35R19 and 275/35R19 as originally planned and if need be push them out with some spacers.

The more narrow the tire, the better in the snow.
