New Key Ring - What have you got?
New Car so New Key Ring (or is it a fob?).
Thing is, non of them are great. Option 1. Carbon Fibre. Looks good. Except you need an extra ring added to stop your thigh being ripped open by a shard of raw carbon when you put it in your pocket. Option 2. Seat belt tape. Like this. Easy to dig out the cup holder when you drop your key into it. Bad news is you need to destroy the larger ring it ships with when you try and put your key onto it. Option 3. Alcantara Feels good. Snug in your pocket. Only thing is you need two hands to open the car now. Not great if you're carrying something. This one is also a year old so the writing has worn off and that blue hex screw breaks every other month. So what do others use? Last edited by Cleybrooke; 03-21-2018 at 11:15 AM.. |

I've had several genuine BMW leather and Alcantara for my red 3-series and LBB M2.
They're expensive, the writing wears off and the hex screws eventually break. I was able to find a screw rod and nut from an 'old school' (not big box) hardware store for the M2 Alcantara one. If you're looking for an inexpensive replacement which also fits the M2 (I bought the red one for the 3-series), you can lookup the P/Ns below on Amazon. I keep my keys separately, so I removed the lanyard part. JC-XLF253 (blue) JC-XLF252 (red) JC-XLF251 (black) |

I don't like carrying big bunches of keys, so I have a separate keychain with my house key, post box key and office key on. I wouldn't want my car key attached to that though.

Didn't want the key to get damaged or scratched up overtime so I figured this was a stylish way to protect it

Probably would, however I have never put a smartphone into a pants pocket holding anything other than the smartphone. 99.9% of the time, I wear my smartphone in a holster :-)

I hear that Kroger stopped selling "assault" rifles, so you probably will need to get a shopper's card for your new, preferred, store :-)

Kroger in AZ is Frys Food Stores. If I wanted an assault rifle I'd go to any of the 2000 or so (seemingly) guns stores in Phoenix
