Icy cold weather vs. M2 windows

Hello,

I live in Maryland, and now since winter has recently started, it has happen multiple times in where overnight freezing temperatures leading to frost over the cars and the windows.

I have a 2017 M2 (6-speed manual). One thing I have noticed is; I am not able to do a remote start. Also, everytime I go to open the door, the window lowers about an inch before I am able to open it.

I become nervous if there is frost on the window, because I fear it might break it.

My question:
Are there any recommendation for how I should deal with this potential problem with the freeze and the windows that automatically drop before opening the door? Are there any tricks that can be useful?

Thanks in advanced.

You shouldn't worry, frost or ice on the door would not be strong enough to prevent the window from opening.

As a recommendation; you can hold the open button down to open your windows and check before you open the door to ensure that the windows are open
