Glad my thoughts helped! I still catch myself not letting the clutch out fast enough at times since it goes against everything I've always done. It's usually most noticeable on the 3-2 downshift where I'm trying to let the clutch out too slowly by habit. What's amazing is the 2-1 downshift where you trust the rev-matching. I've tried to simulate that airport autox course turn-around cone approach and practiced the 2-1 at just the right speed, and it's super smooth, perfectly rev-matched, amazing.

I'm still learning it, as I come from rev matching since my 91 e30 318iS. I find it revs the car too much unexpectedly. When driving away from the dealer at 10miles, i downshifted to 3rd at 30 mph and revs shot up to 5k. Freaked me out about engine damage

No way downshifting into 3rd will jump the revs up to 5k at 30mph. Are you sure you didn't downshift into 1st instead of 3rd?

Relatively easy way around it is to blip the throttle before moving away from neutral. But I prefer auto rev-matching. Although I would prefer the ability to turn it off was simpler.
