I'll have the turbo done during the 1200 mile service which should be next month.
For how much you spend and how much you get, it's a much better deal IMO. Plus that still would give you extra money to spend on other mods if you'd like. Such as tires, since the stock ones are always spinning trying to put down the power that stage 2 gives.

My Sport Dials hit 460-hp/485-ft lbs with the Dinan Turbo & BM3, plus I still have a stock downpipe. Sport cat should add another 10-15hp/tq and I’ll do that soon.

She’s a lot of fun with this setup!

Just wanted to report back that I flashed BM3 back to stock with my Dinan turbo for a trip to the dealer. Took about 5min to do so.

The car drove perfectly fine and felt similar to stock. Altho, I haven’t been at stock power for 2-yrs, so tough to remember.

Sport dials hit 380-hp/365-tq with the Dinan turbo and stock tune, vs 460-hp/485-tq with the Dinan turbo and BM3 Stage 2H 93 map.

Silly questions but is that from coding to display additional hp?

The dials change automatically if you’re using a flash tune. I think the DME seems a certain load target in the tuned ECU map and changes the dials accordingly. They won’t change if you’re using a piggyback.

As for how accurate they are, who knows, but based on my mods and others’ dyno’s they seem in the ballpark. Also, my buddy running BM3 Stg 1 91 in his M3 hits 485hp and 500ftlbs on his dials, which is around the dyno plots out there if you assume a 15% drivetrain loss. His hp dial goes all the way to 640hp—hah!

I’ll add a Sport cat to mine in a cpl months, add some boost, hit the dyno, and check if the output on the dials change.
