Used 2018 M2 Pricing Question

I've been looking around (entertaining) to trade into/possibly purchase a 2018 M2. Looks like the LCI changes are nice and that the N55 to S55 jump/seats for the 2019's is nice but not worth the 10k price difference to me.

I've been looking at a few 2018's along the middle East Coast region and wanted to get a feeler on proper pricing for a 2018 6MT Long Beach Blue with executive package/carplay and 10-20k miles. They've got it priced just above 53 where it seems like the price should be more in the 48-49.5 range. Is this about right? I've found a few new 2018's priced at 52.5 but hard to find a blue one and they're not local.

Thanks!

A 2018 with 20k miles is a tall ask. Someone would have had to drive the hell out of it to get that many miles.

I paid just under 50k for my 2018 with 3500 miles on it.

If your aiming for higher mileage 2018, I'd look around 46 to 47k or so.

Hey detroitm2, when you bought your 2018 m2, did you get it CPO or just used. I'm planning to buy a 2018 m2 January

i've seen 51k for '18 3500 miles w DCT

also debating if it's worth doing this considering the LCI doesn't add much imo. but it's already about 10k off MSRP...

51K with a DCT and low miles isn't bad. Mine is a 6MT.

The biggest thing you get with an LCI is the extra year of your warranty left. The other stuff is "nice" but certainly not the only selling point.

Just used. It was traded in to a jag dealership, so no CPO.

The 20k mileage was just one i found. It's certified so not as worried about it. Thank you for the pricing suggestion. I don't care for the higher mileage more so just looking in the 46-48k price range. Certified if it has the higher mileage but a late purchase that's in that range I'd be more than happy with.

LCI was for the entire 2018 model year correct? It wasn't a mid-year update right? The changes are nice, I just figure the 2019 changes with the new engine and don't care too much about the seats. Coming from a Corvette not having ventilated seats and a HUD is probably the most missed features.

Thanks again, I'll look into that one from Florida. I've got no issues traveling for a car.

this is what i'm seeing.

still not too sure on pulling the trigger on a brand new 18 even with a 15% discount because of the high MSRP.

61k MSRP for dct/exec models... but currently selling for 50k, seems like a great deal until i see a 2016 model going for 40k with 20k miles.

I was under the impression the 2018 with just exec, DCT, LBB, and Apply CarPlay is just at $59.8k. For a 6MT your at $57k new so I wouldn't pay 53k for a used one, OP. I'd shoot for 48k for a lower mileage version. Wait a couple of months if you have too. It's a used car and a year old on paper.

I may be looking for a 2018 in May and am shooting for 45/46 for a low mileage version - just LBB, exec, 6MT, car play. No moonroof or DCT.

you're right, but destination charge adds another $995 pushing MSRP to 60k

yeah I agree. It seems like that’s the way they are going. Now that I found out CarPlay can be added at anytime it means it’s not even a restriction or nicety either. The one Detroit posted is now to 48k with 3.5k miles. It was a precious corporate vehicle. 45-46 less than 10k and a under a year old for warranty purposes is probably prime. Found a couple new 2018 leftovers in the 53 range as well.

The used one was certified but a 2018 doesn’t offer that much being certified.

Dealer wanted to charge me $1500 from Omaha to Jacksonville for an open (!!) trailer, in the dead of winter - $2200 for an enclosed trailer. Needless to say I passed on that and contacted a friend of a friend in Miami who is a broker and ships exotics, ended up getting the same price ($1500) but for an enclosed trailer, fully insured.

They also called and texted incessantly after telling me there was no deal to be had and refused to communicate via email. In the middle of pulling the trigger on a 2017 and one of the major points in working with another dealer is the sales process involving entirely email.
