The intention is everything will be available for sale before years end. The intercooler technically would still need to get CARB approval but it would still be listed and available to ship. The big turbo on the M2 might run into a supply issue with limited number of cores available but it would still be "available".

Theres always a ton of things that COULD go wrong and change timetables but the M2 shares a bunch of stuff with other models so most of those problems and potential issues were worked out on previous applications.

With all due respect, the claimed gains on an intake only mod looks a little bit unreal to me. Can you explain with pics how your design is superior to the OEM one and the dyno charts to show the difference?

To my knowledge, intake has rarely been the power restrict from factory to N55 or any other motors.

With a lot of modification it COULD be made to work but it would require a fair amount of fab work hence why we are making a M2 specific variant that is overall larger then the one for the M235i but in different dimensions.

It doesn't. The M2 has a small fuel tank tuned or not so you seemingly go through gas pretty quick regardless. Especially when you are consistently in it like I tend to be when I drive the thing. =)

Love the sound of the Dinan exhaust with the resonator delete. Sounds a lot more like the classic pre-turbo inline 6, which IMO is the best sound outside a V12! Well done guys!

Dinan is notorious for high quality, expensive mods that don't test out that well when compared to stock by car mags. To me, they seem like the Hennessey of the BMW world. Not sure you get much for your money.

EDIT: Just checked on their website. A little pricey...

Attended the BMW CCA Dinan Factory Tour on Monday. The exhaust system with the resonator delete sounds great. When you look at where the valve is, you will realize that with the valve open, the exhaust path is a straight shot from the cat out the back bypassing the muffler. If I misunderstood, Dinan Engineering can correct me. There is a sound clip on YouTube you can check out, but it sounds much better in person. At a price point that is about half of the competitors, and CARB legal, this is an easy choice.

Per forum rules... pricing cannot be displayed outside of the classified/sponsor section. Hence why there are links to each of the product pages.

I agree. For a turbo car the Dinan exhaust on the M2 is a great sound. Love when the guys rev it in the morning to move it around the shop and do test runs. Never seems to get old to my ear.

High quality I won't argue with. Expensive--- Quality comes at a price but at the same time the idea of Dinan being "expensive" is starting to change a bit with increased production capabilities being realized. As an example we are offering the cheapest M2 exhaust on the market (by far) with one of the best sounds (I'm biased) as we are utilizing robotic manufacturing on some elements that allow costs to go down and production to go up. As far as performance and testing goes I will limit the topic to the M2 since thats whats being discussed but its not like we are claiming some huge gains, just real output, as limited as it may be. We are simply being real. It is expensive because of the wiring harness--- our harness cost to produce is about 4x what competitors entire systems cost. We do this so we can ensure superior drivability. To us its worth it. To others it might not be but we aren't twisting arms forcing people to buy stuff though either. Coupled with the warranty we still believe the reduced price of the base tune (same price as a 4 cylinder DINANTRONICS) is worthwhile.

The 1M exhaust was removed from the catalog a month or so ago as we ran out of some of the parts. Seemed silly to produce another run of exhausts for a single model year car that had under 800 units produced at this point.

You got it right. I agree in person it sounds better but thats pretty universal with all exhaust clips. =)

Thanks for attending BTW.

As a side note - speaking of the tours yesterday and the 1M referenced above we were giving out the leftover 1M tips to folks since they were going to be scrapped anyway.

Factory valve funstionalty is left intact, just relocated, so it opens and closes just like it would normally from the factory in the various settings.

Awesome guys. Quick question, does the resonator delete add any power? Also, does it throw a Check Engine Light? What about drone? Thanks!
