The best thread on this forum. Man you know everything. I'm getting the black manual in August, taking delivery in Zurich.

First planned mods:

*Drive in motion (Need to find someone with the knowhow)
*Stereo upgrade. Not confident the HK system is as good as it should be considering the price.
* Front and side grills to black.

I did a test drive and I thought the stock exhaust was fine. This is my first M car (Previously had a Z4) so for me it sounds like a beast :-)

I stand corrected. I've personally been N/A since 2005 when I got rid of my Evo 8 that was pushing well over 600AWHP on a stock twin scroll "Big 16G" turbo. Only mod to turbo was the bigger 10.5 hotside from the evo 9 and some machining of the cold side.

I was always under the impression that single scrolls used ind cylinder manifold engineering and the engines natural exhaust pulse rate to ensure no two cylinders tried pushing exhaust through the hot side simultaneously. Thinking about it more thoroughly, that would hypothetically be possible in a 4 cyl like the Evos 4G63 but in a 6 cylinder, 2 cylinders would naturally have to be on the exhaust stroke at the same time at some point.

While I understood Twin Scrolls had two inlets, i just thought that the entire hotside was basically split into two sections with two smaller impellar wheels.

Thanks for the info and the article. I read it in it's entirety. I'm just getting back into pulling power out of a f/i engine.. Your post and the article were very educational and helpful.

Did you happen to be by the Tanger Outlets yesterday? I saw a BSM with Black Grill Surrounds and running no Front Plate.
I was in the Space Gray E90M3 w/ License Plate "M3VIL" coming from the opposite direction.

This was the first M2 I see in the flesh, and I must say I was blown away but how aggressive and menacing this thing looks in person. The driver even gave me a downshift and I was able to have a taste of the awesome exhaust sound.

The gold/bronze would definitely be too flashy for me (I didn't think I'd ever utter these words... ), but I can understand wanting to change it up.

LOL Yes. But wasn't it travelling opposite directions on Bay Shore Rd? I saw you jam your breaks and couldn't help but miss my e92 a little...

Few new mods...

Carbon Fiber Mirror Replacements cames today. Ordered the actual replacement. Had the covers on my M3 and hated them...

Also while at the dealership getting the break in service, I bought the M performance Drive Analyzer which was cheaper there than I've seen it online, believe it or not...

I also was due for a cellphone upgrade today so I went from Galaxy 6 to Galaxy 7 edge at best buy and to my surprise it came with a free 32" OLED smart HD TV (and for like $100 you have the option of a 48" or something)....

So the new phone with the drive analyzer is a good time....No latency like the torque apps n others...

Bad news, I smashed a pot hole and the mangled a rear wheel. the wheel which I know is strong as hell got SMASHED. So I ordered a new Michelin PS (OEM) from tire rack. The tire somehow only slowly leaked and I luckily made it home. Now I have to rush my wheel decision...

Does anyone know where anyplace on LI, Queens thats stocks 19" aftermarket wheels with the proper offsets and BMW lug pattern and center bore??? Or F series M guys selling nice wheels?

The offsets I know are the same or close to the m3/m4 and many other BMW's so hoping I can rent a car and just go grab some wheels tomm...

Haha from a far I thought it was an M3/M4 and I was like meh! But then you got close and I saw that bull dog stance along w the fangs, the downshift was the icing on the cake and I lost it checking my mirrors to get another look at it.

Hope to see a few M2's at the Raylle Event this weekend.

I just went to look...I got it from iND Distribution. They have a "cosmetic package" grills, gills, painted reflectors and badge I bought...But you can also buy the badge in black chrome or matte/gloss black

second round of mods...pics and Ill have some m2 vs m3 & m4 vids if anyone want to see...My cars covered in go pro's and a mic in between the tail pipes...SO the vids are pretty cool and show that even on the highway to VMAX the M2 with just a d/p n good fuel can pull away from a stock M4...

also vs a stock M2...All 6MT. Vids on reuest for obvious reasons...

The ///MVasion in Jersey is on my bday so i may take a drive and the ralley shows always great...Im rushing my ass off to get a new wheel tomm so I can make it...

New Mods...

As stated... mirror caps arrived, got the stainless M Performance pedals (replicas), some cool new GoPro stuff to ] capture the action, BMW M drive analyzer and some pics of the subwoofer/amp (did my best to make the installation clean and match interior... but it started to rain during the install but between the trunk amp and battery it's the easiest sub install ever...

Also the exhaust cutout...

FYI with shipping and duty to Canada, the replicas would've cost me as much as buying from the dealership, so keep that in mind.
